Sir, two formulas of variance are given one is having n-1 in denominator, while the other one is having only n in denominator.Now, how can we decide that we have to use which formula.

What is the difference between standard deviation and variation. I know sd is the square root of variance,but that doesn’t explain anything. When are they used or are useful etc?

I'm not sure I'm right but the one where the denominator is only N is for the formula of x bar while the one with N-1 is for the Variance itself
