Yes let's remember all of us that Elvis LOVED all his fans. He was humble, generous beyond imagination. He lived to entertain the world with his God given talent.

This man was genuine, humble, never taking anything for granted. He deserved the superstardom he achieved. He was bigger than life. I give this man credit also bcuz he once told fans that Jesus Christ is King. How many entertainers say that. When we lost Elvis we lost true entertainment.

@@crusadeagainstgreedyentert4865 According to the Bible, Jesus was a plain looking man, and didn't stand out in a crowd. So if Lizzy is saying beautiful, I'm sure she's meaning his looks.. But God gave so much to Elvis, and Elvis gave so much to the rest of us.. I can't speak for Lizzy Allan, but for me, Jesus was the greatest of everything.. And God gave us Elvis too.

It is so hard to believe that behind this shy, mumbling young man there is a tiger ready to be unleashed on stage. We may never see another entertainer with this caliber for decades to come. He was a phenomenon, a treat and great pleasure for those who were lucky enough to see him perform live.

Any of His family born after he passed wished he lived longer like he deserved after all the good he did for people just to meet such an amazing good hearted person and not the star Elvis. He missed soo many deaths 1 being born, another when badly I'll at age 6 and another when he was 1st getting popular his plane ran out of gas in the air smdh. I wish he would of survived the last time to see his grandkids and daughter grow up

To the person that commented that Elvis mostly sang "remakes": That's such an ignorant statement. Even if there were any accuracy to that assumption, it doesn't change the fact that not only was he an awesome entertainer with a gorgeous face and an absolutely beautiful voice that broke many barriers, but he was also a humanitarian. He gave to so many different charities. He was extremely generous. He loved sharing his wealth with those less fortunate and many times with complete strangers. Entertainers of today have only their best interest in mind and will never come close to the talent and beauty in a human being that was Elvis Presley. Before judging his music and assuming that all he ever sang was remakes, give it a chance and really listen to the raw talent in his voice, and if possible watch videos of his performances. Learn a little about him before you discredit his true talent. It's only then that you can truly appreciate all that makes Elvis cool. That unique voice, that gorgeous face, those beautiful blue eyes, the romanticism and bad-assedness of it all in 100% Heartthrob quality. All these things and so much more rolled together are what can only begin to describe what Elvis Presley is all about. As long as his voice and music can be heard, he lives on in the hearts of all his fans young, old, and up and coming. Never ever will he be matched by another entertainer. He will forever be the one and only King of Rock & Roll. Damn right I'm passionate about him. Elvis fan for life :)

Nani Wattz The Aloha show was available to 1.5 billion potential viewers. If every TV that was capable of receiving the show was tuned in it would have been that many. It was still a pretty cool achievement that probably only Elvis could have pulled off. The billion viewer thing sort of got changed from a billion possible viewers to an audience of a billion people. Two different things.

It also wasn't easy for Elvis as he was the most recognizable person on the planet. I dare anyone to try and live a totally normal way of life and be as famous as Elvis was. He never claimed to be a saint, but he was nevertheless a kind, generous and talented man and a lot of today's so-called "entertainers" could learn a lot from him. There are countless stories of his generosity to others, to charities. He wasn't just a singer/actor , he was a humanitarian.

Nobody wants to diss on Elvis. He was an amazing artist! As an artist there will never be anyone like him, he was special, original, charming & insanely talented. As a person with a private life he became a wreck in the last part of his life & if someone separates the artist from Elvis the person, is because they see things objectively. I love him as an artist, I've been a fan all my life, imitating his singing & style through high school, as for Elvis the man, I try to learn from his mistakes.

***** Those two interviews surprised me because he was usually very careful about being stoned during such appearances. He became less careful in his later years, perhaps that was a part of being in the grip of drugs. I have DVDs of the complete concerts he did that were used to make the one hour CBS TV special 'Elvis in Concert' in June 1977. He was completely stoned during those shows. Rambling stories and forgetting where he was going with them halfway through the story, inexplicably stopping songs midway though, it was sad to watch.

unfortunately elvis had a very heavy addiction to many drugs and everyone around him enabled his every wish, it shows who really cared, no-one cared the man was exhausted animated by drugs don't think even elvis himself realised how bad it was he needed treatment and time off

Look Elvis was and still is the most electrifying performer there ever was or will be..we know that..but yes..he was obviously under the influence in most of his interviews in the late 70s..that's not judging him..that's just observing someone with all the vocal talent and adoration in the world..losing his grip..

Its funny seeing him wear those glasses and now its back in style. I like those glasses anyway but its just interesting. I'm an MJ fan and an Elvis fan. Both contributed to music in a big way and in their own way. Its a moot point to argue who's better or what not. I love them both. Both have their great points and their not so flattering points. But I think both were a victim of their own success. RIP MJ, RIP ELVIS!

This ladies and gets, is none other than Jon Cotner. Elvis Presley Body Double from 1964 to 1977. That's right he was Elvis Body Double for 13 years. Believe it or not he actually was one of the first Elvis Impersonators. Elvis appearently went to one of his shows, liked what he saw and hired him to work for him as his double. He had to underwent extensive plastic surgery to look more like elvis, he also had to wear make up, and prosthetics whenever he would do a venue as him. It is quite easy to tell the two apart. Joe has a bigger nose, fuller lips, larger hands, and longer head. All around a different body shape. He also has brown eyes, and his so called Texan accent is actually lighter than elvis's, since he's actually from Louisiana. So he had to learn elvis's accent. Oh, he's also known for being more nervous (when in public) and humbler than elvis. There's actually proof of this. There's an interview with Joe esposito where's he's talking about elvis and he mixes up the two. He says something like "Jon..." Then he quickly corrects himself and says "excuse me, Elvis used to..." Of course the interviewer didn't know who jon was so he didn't pay too much attention to it. Elvis also mentioned Jon in a letter to one of his relatives, he says something along the lines of "my lookalike jon..." Everybody knew Elvis had a double, Elvis body knew who jon was. Priscilla was Actually heard saying (I don't know if that's true) and I quote "we all knew Elvis had a double, and sometimes we just couldn't tell them apart." So everybody in his family and his entourage knew of Joe. Now I don't know where Jon is or what happened to him, last I heard he was living somewhere in Ohio. Anyways, the point of this very long post is, this isn't Elvis but a double.

Elvis was right when he said, it is very hard to comprehend the proposed Aloha From Hawaii show being shown live by satellite to homes around the world. Considering he's been in show business from 1956 to 1972 hence, the period he referred to as fifteen years technology has come in leaps and bound. But, technology was actually primitive and in its' infancy in the early 70's. RiP Elvis.

This is the most stoned video we have of Elvis. He looks great in the 2nd video.
Any footage we have of him from these years he was speeding. Even the movie years he was speeding it's very obvious to us now. Elvis always slept so he rarely had that typical amphetamine look. God Bless You our darling boy.

Hi Miss Lucy. Nice to hear you !
Elvis was not alone using those "wake up" pills. Many students craming for exams, pilots, astronauts, truck drivers even Presidents used them. Elvis liked them for the energy they gave him. His mom took them too, for her weight. I believe Elvis first took them in Germany, like everyone else. To him it was medicine. Which it is, but ???
