Great vids , ive recently joined with the local authority as there tractor operator ,obviously had to do all the training ,tractor mower ,side arm ect to gain all the relevant certificates ,but like anything it all comes with experience ,as with the mowing ,and other simple tasks that’s pretty simple ,but the side arm hedge cutting that’s a different kettle of fish, tips and tricks from experienced people is key , I’m sure people think you just turn up to a hedge to be cut and it’s SO! Easy all I know at the end of a day of doing hedges I’m exhausted the amount of concentration involved 😷
Hi lads nice to see new kit but Adam that's not wet my cattle have been in for two weeks although it dried enough to get the maze of and cover crop planted Wil mid wales
I think the key to good quick hedge cutting is little and often...if ya taking 12inches off every year it will be alot quicker than trying to cut a metre off every other year....saves on wear and tear (and fuel) to as it ain't trying to munch so much. Some of the farmers round here do it every other year and it looks like a t-rex bin chewing it off, damn near needs a chainsaw putting across it first! lol
After seeing the contractors yesterday working on our hedges, if yours is half as good, it’s still a beast! My mate hit a pole it’s his hedge cutter on my job, snapped it but luckily it stayed up 🤣🙈
Next but not least! Can't you get a CAD/CAM system into your McConnel 6565T, Adam and shape a row of ducks or something? Haha Have a nice weekend y'all in the sunshine! Is it your black and yellow fur beanie you have lying beside control panel?
Hi fellas, recently joined the channel on recommendation of Andrew from Its a farming life for me. Fantastic job your doing, love the new McConnell. Do you ever do hedge laying??
Few scary angles , but it’s screaming through it . Get the “ make it nice on the roadside of the hedge” . The birds don’t care what the field sides like . If you’re marching your not fighting
Good vid. Interesting you work from bottom of the hedge up. I'm new to the cutting using a new MCconnel5555, literally finished and took it off the tractor today. And read best to do shoulder/top / bottom. How fast do you tend to cut?
Always work from bottom up then all your trimmings fall away and down out your way so you can always see what your on with without stuff getting caught up,also it helps you to keep an eye out for any fencing posts and bits of wire abit easier going from bottom to top!!!!
well thats my 100 EPISODE watched love a hedge cutting

There are 105 episodes up the not all got episode at the end lol
What most people do is let some air out of the right rear tyre and put more in the left one for counter balance, trust me it’s the best way 👍
We may look into that

Is Adams trimming as straight as his rowing up lines?. 😂😂
They aren’t as bad 😂😂
First 👍
Nice to see you have had a shave, so you don't look like you have a beaver stuck to your face. Good bit of kit though.
🤣🤣
I mean come on we all like a nice bit of beaver around our faces us lads don't we?!??👍🏻🙈🙈😜👅
What reach is it?
Which one of yous own the farm
My father and I as in Justin.
Adam is top part of the team though
@@thehayteamtv6830 a right thanks for replying. Love the videos.
hedges its farming not gardening im guessing a few townieas on here lol
Hahaha
not sure i agree with your assessment of the stability of the tractor , clearly its leaning and would not take much to tip it , good video otherwise
I haven’t tipped it yet.. it’s gunna lean on a slope as our fields aren’t flat,
They only tip over onto the head then you can push them back up on to there wheels!!!!👍🏻😉😉
