it's so much easier to chop up a shoping cart, the basket provides lots of hanging points and hardpoints to weld on accessory mounts, bumpers etc. also free casters, freely replacable
Honestly, that sounds like about the same amount of work to me! But if you can find yourself a shopping cart, that sounds like a good option!
I have the same setup. My Prime Weld TIG 225 must be little bit smaller because it fit the cart with just the front feet hanging over.
@@Bushokie-cx7ee huh, I wonder if they changed the feet on them recently, or if Harbor Freight changed the feet design? Mine was only about 1/2" too wide, but if I would have taken the rubber feet off it would have probably fit.
Woah, what are you doing?! It's illegal to use your welder to make stuff for your welder! 😂
Oops, sorry! I didn't read the instructions manual before I started using it, so I didn't know. 😂
This seems like a massive tip over hazard.
@@sloppydoggy9257 it's actually surprisingly stable. The argon bottle adds a lot of weight to the base, which helps. If you take it outside a lot or have a garage floor with lots of big cracks, that's definitely worth considering though.
I've never had a problem with mine.
