  • A lot of times, these semi-generative pieces are about lucky accidents - that a certain note plays at the right time, that sone single notes form an interesting chord together, that a little noise fills just the right space. I try my best to set up parameters to increase the chances of this happening, but you never know. This was fun to make, though.

    most probably a super stupid question but are you using the tape recorder simply to record this set, to then import it into your daw, process it a bit and then beat match it with the video recording?

      Not a stupid question! The tape is just a recording of some very slow notes, if I remember correctly and runs alongside the other instruments. Everything gets recorded in the DAW.

      I'm currently looking into getting a digitone and digitakt (+ keystep 37) but I'm a bit worried about the steep learning curve everyone talks about haha
