Has anyone noticed how much Colin has moved the goalpost throughout Baker's career. First it was "Undraftable" Then it was a formidable backup, then it was a Case Keenum like starter. Now his thing is "Oh, RG3 had a great rookie year." like come on the dude know's he's wrong so he keeps moving the goalpost back to save face.

Marry Christmas I actually didn’t vote for trump but nice try 😂😂😂. Sure he covered his bases. But..... like I said, he keeps adjusting his bases to make it seem like he was right. All the things I mentioned are things he said. Also he constantly compares him to either drew brees or Patrick Mahoney which is completely unfair, or he compares him to RG3. Which, in case you don’t remember, came back wayyyyyy earlier than a he should have from a major injury and could never stay healthy.
Last thing that just came to me as well. How on earth could I be cherry-picking when this is really the only things Colin has said on baker? These are the only things he said. I’m honestly taking everything he has said over the past 8 months
It also cracks me up because Baker and RGIII have totally different play styles and RGIII had Mike Shanahan as a head coach. If you are gonna make an RGIII comparison we all know Lamar Jackson is a much closer fit to that mold, who is also having a nice start so far.

In my opinion it’s warranted, Hue (mostly Todd Haley but Hue too) was essentially holding Baker down by trying to convert his play style which has since been proven wrong according to the stats since Hue is not coaching him but he still tried to take credit for Bakers success and he embarrassed him on national television by congratulating him on winning the backup role.

And isn't it reasonable for the Browns to treat Jackson like a traitor, whether he was fired or not ? What do you think the main reason was, that the Bengals hired a 3-36-1 coach ? He has privy information on the Browns. Teams often do that, signing guys to gain some advantage on the player's former team. Patriots have done it more than once.
A lot of the media is calling Mayfied's attitude immature, and I'm not getting that. Any other time, I hear them complaining that guys on opposing teams are too buddy-buddy, and they want more competitiveness and rivalry. So now a guy has this warrior-like mentality, and it's a big issue ? Seems kind of ridiculous to me.
And to your point, NMul, we don't know what exactly went on in that Browns locker room, when Jackson was there. We don't know how much of Hue's media tour, came off as total B/S, to the guys in the Browns locker room.

Are we really going there? Lets see. He has propelled the Browns to 4 wins so far this year when in the past 2 seasons they have only won ONE game. I know that he is not the only reason, but his fire and drive has changed that franchise. Ask browns fans how they feel and you will see his is NOT overrated. How ridiculous are the final comments about Baker Mayfield? Rob Parker fails to recognize that Mayfield didn't just stand up in a press conference and then go after an ex-coach. Baker was asked a couple of questions by a reporter about Hue Jackson. He gave honest answers based on his observations of Hue Jackson's actions AFTER he was fired. Jackson in interviews after his firing made it sound like everything would have been different if only he had been allowed to select the players for the Browns, including QB's. Mayfield, for his part, wasn't having any of it. Jackson to him is a two-faced coach with his own hidden agenda. Yeah, perhaps Mayfield hasn't been around long enough to make these comments but give him credit for standing tall for his teammates and organization.

Y’all need to chill on Baker, he is young and competitive. Hindsight is 20/20, I’m sure if he rationally thought out the whole situation and tried to look at it from Hue’s perspective, he wouldn’t have said what he did. Just really think about how Baker’s whole experience was with Hue Jackson. With kinda humiliating him on hard knocks with the backup job and not even giving Baker the chance to compete for the starting job. I think Baker just saw Hue as some guy who didn’t know what he was doing and didn’t have a winning record and thought “whatever, glad we got him out now we can win some football games”.

They are right about Stafford being overrated. However, I don’t think Baker is necessarily immature so much as he is more rah-rah than qbs typically are, which has its advantages and disadvantages.
What if hue programed a offense that was getting baker hit all the time and to fail? Go watch the steeler game when watt was free to do whatever he wanted with baker. Then go to the browns front staff and say oh I told you we should start taylor , to look right or something, and then as soon as there's a new oc, baker gets what he needs, protection ,time to throw the ball, and making things easy for him. I can't lie, I hardly agree with Parker on anything sports related, but I agree with him about Stafford. Hes been in the league for basically a decade and done a whole lot of nothing except accumulate numbers. He has hall of fame numbers but he's done nothing important.

I think the least biased person in my eyes is Chris Broussard. Rob Parker hates lebron, clearly shows it. Shannon sharpe shows biasedness to Aaron Rodgers and hates Brady a little too much sometimes. I'll just say this. Scott Linehan was Matthew Stafford's best ever coordinator. Not much there. He's not one of the all time greats- no one is saying he is; but he's made a franchise that could only win one playoff game with the greatest running back of all time playoff relevant and competitive. He's not overrated or overpaid. His OC is unimaginative & predictable & can't come up with new plays, he has only Kenny Golladay to throw to now, and his TEs run terrible routes that lead directly to 4thQ INTs in the case of last Thursday's game. Matthew Stafford is not what's wrong with the Lions.
I almost forgot to mention his O Line gave up 19 sacks through the Lion's 3 game losing streak. It's pathetic and the Lions look like a rebuilding team; but they aren't because Stafford makes them competitive.
