I've been saying since last year that you need to get a shooter. No one in the team can shoot open threes, that's why Sengun is constantly getting double pressure under the rim.

Anything but the starting 5. Its nuts Amen Thompson is our most consistent and best all around player but he comes off the bench. Hes a PG. 6"9 has better skills than anyone on this squad but we giving every touch to Fred. He slows our game down to a turtles speed and Ime only preaches Speed and tempo lol!

Biggest DAWG lineup that ever existed.. and let Amen run the show.. setting up Cam Tarinand ofc Alpi. It will be a nightmare facing that squad. Literallly we wouldnt lose... would take sometime for them to adjust... but you give me Amen Cam Tari with a decent center and a 4 that can just run the floor at a good speed... and they beat the crap out of this team. Alpi is also good against big centers but if you put a strong 4 on him like Draymond and he gets lost... but wemby and clingan he can play.. alot of work
@arnoncline2398 Honestly it makes no sense to not be playing Sheppard at this point either...I see this offense being bottom 10 by the end of the year if they keep the lineup and minutes all the same. Only second to OKC in defense so that will make up for it on MOST nights but they have no chance against offensive juggernauts who are shooting well that night. Give Sheppard at least 16 minutes a game EVERY game, and play Whitemore around the same. That could dramatically change these outcomes. Offense is atrocious. Even if they both shoot a combined 10 times a game you're likely gonna be getting 2-4 threes a game from them and that would be huge given they have no shooters out there at all right now. Freddy can get hot but is unbelievably inconsistent in that realm.
@@arnoncline2398Once Chet comes back none of this will matter however😅. I dont see them beating OKC even without Chet regardless of roster adjustments. Next year is when I'll really be scared of the Rockets. To beat OKC in a 7 game series though you HAVE to trade Green and try to get a better leading scorer. Rockets fans HAVE to let go of this fantasy that this guy will somehow turn things around and be consistent...no. Three years is long enough this is now his 4th season. It's over. Trade him. Same goes for Jabari in year 3, it wont work on this team, its over. Jalen Green and Jabari Smith alone are a hell of an intriguing package for teams out there. You throw in a future draft pick (IMO Freddy as well) and you have yourself the chance to get an incredible top scorer. Unrealistic most likely but just imagine Giannis on this team...As if the Rockets need more defense, that guy paired with Sengun, Amen, Brooks, and Sheppards shooting would be INSANE. Bringing Tari, Whitemore, Holiday, Adams off the bench are you kidding me? Then I would favor them over anybody.
@@arnoncline2398As historcially great as OKC's defense is, if the Rockets were to aquire Giannis and not lose Freddy(though I think they should) the lineup of Freddy, Tari, Amen, Giannis, and Sengun might be the greatest defensive lineup of all time. Not even kidding. Sengun isn't even a liability defensively anymore...Literally no holes outside of Freddys height but he is as fiesty defensively a 6'0 guard as there is.
They have us thinking they are going to show up but let us down.Play Cam,Reed and Jack McVeigh.

Amen is super consistent. Same thing every night... points per minute etc. Yet he gets less touches than anyone else on the team that starts. Its aboslutely maddening
I am proud of them. They are too young to this stage and they played semifinal against probable winner. We will hear this team' name more in the next 10 years.
This game alone is proof it’s time to trade VANFLEET. That FOX trade sounding more interesting by the day. If the coaching staff didn’t learn anything by this lose I don’t know what will.

During the Warriors game Fred VanVleet had the ball in a Fast Break, Amen Thompson was ahead around the paint Fred VanVleet didn't pass the ball up the floor for the easy dunk for Amen 2 points.
So many times Fred VanVleet has not passed the ball to Jalen Green when he is open and shot contested 3 instead. That is bad decision making.
Fred VanVleet had only 9 Assists to Jalen Green.

Y'all Rockets fans not tired of Fred bad shooting over and over,, and JGreen. In the 4th the two combine was 5 for 23 for 13 points. Cam is instant offense. Fred doesn't play like a championship type player.DAMN, 3 for 15 and 1 for 11 is Fred stat line.

Rockets have to decide on a offenseive philosophy, this was the reason why i didnt want Stone to commit money to either Sengun or Green. We dont have an offensive identity, if you want Sengun to be the number 1 guy then go get players that can fit around him, if you want run and gun type offense and space out the half court and let your athletes like amen or Jalen get down hill, then go get players to fit with that.. All this trying to mesh together this Jalen and ALP is not going to work and is only decreasing their value. We wasted a draft pick on reed Shepard who was supposed to solve our shooting problems, I wanted Clingan cause i knew his defense would help us immediately, but Stone didnt want to upset the apple card by drafting a Center. At the least we could have drafted Dalton or Dillingham

If Amen had as many touches as Fred he would have a triple double every third or fourth game with 2 steals and 2 blocks while shutting down the other teams best player.. but no we gonna play van fleet all year and run the offense thru the guy whos half the size half the speed and half the vision

Bottom line, the rockets have scorers who cant score efficiently. JG is not a good perimeter scorer, Sengun is a Center who can't score in the paint efficiently. The rockets best efficient scorer who isn't even considered a scorer is Amen... Let that sink in... So if i have to start Amen, over a brooks, Vanfleet, or Green, then how will my team get up enough threes to keep up? Spacing will be awful with both Sengun and Amen on the floor together.. we will increase our 2pt efficiency but loose against teams getting up at least 30 threes.. Honestly i think the rockets should build around Amen, with either Bari at the 5 or a lob threat big, and the rest shooters.. similarly like the bucks did with Giannis, i think Amen can be the next Gianni's

As much as I support Alp, this game is on him. This is not the first game the Rockets cannot buy a basket, and we need Alp to be agressive. Stone needs to shield himself from drafting a bust in Jalen Green so he's not going to trade for a better SG. Alp needs to stop being a wussy and goes ahead and shoot the ball. I don't care the shooting percentage but it's unacceptable to only put up 16 shots in a game when he is the #1 option on the team.
