Emphasing the need for policy towards wealth redistribution, Mr. Pitroda elaborated on the concept of inheritance tax prevailing in the U.S. "In America, there is an inheritance tax. If one has $100 million worth of wealth and when he dies he can only transfer probably 45% to his children, 55% is grabbed by the government. That's an interesting law. It says you in your generation, made wealth and you are leaving now, you must leave your wealth for the public, not all of it, half of it, which to me sounds fair," Mr. Pitroda said.

Financial survey of individuals is fine and should happen. This is just to identify the needy and economically backward class of our nation. This will help in government of the day to bailout welfare schemes and policies only in favor of the needy people. The questions are;
1. How to identify citizenry when there is no NRC? Congress please do the NRC and NPR.
2. How often the census should happen? Should we not make filing of ITR mandatory to identify economically weaker section every year. Government should have digital help centres for filing income tax for the citizenry?
3. Does government has no role in promoting meritocracy?
4. Does uplifting of weaker sections means giving them cash and properties? Should the government not empower people to earn for themselves thru education, skilling, entrepreneurship?
5. Should not wealth of religious bodies not be utilized for welfare for every economically weaker section.
I have no issue with what Mr. Modi said. Redistribution of wealth to infiltrators who have a higher birth rate to create population imbalance is wrong.
