My cat used to get "really pissed" when I used chopsticks to eat and would scream at me and get on the table to bat them out of my hand. When I was younger I heard a Cat outside in the bushes under my window saying what sounded like Yabba Dabba Doooo!!! Yup that was the first time I heard a Cat in heat/mid arguments with another Cat. Still gives me the heebeejeebees!
They use their own native sounds and language precisely for their own use and very effectively, so quit thinking like an arrogant human. And the fact that they can also learn some English after living with humans for many years shows even more just how smart other life-forms are.
I had a cat who didn’t make human words but I swear she’d picked up my cadence in her latter years. Like if her dinner was late I’d get a curt downward intoned thank you (about time) meow. There’s a chance it was me who’d copied her since I had her for 21 years.
