Mr P. Painul Abideen is an individual whose aqeedah(creed) and manhaj (methodology) is taken mostly from some of the misguided sects includingthe Mu'tazilah. He started his dawah some time in 1986 on the correct premise of preaching Tawheed and warning the muslims of Tamil Nadu about shirik, bidah, kuffur and many other unislamic practices. One cannot deny that his preaching had a revolutionary impact as the Muslims were told to stricty keep to the teaching of the Quran and authentic sunnah. P Jainul Abideen also emphasized that we should accept all sahih(authentic) hadiths and that none of the authentic hadith contradicts the Quran. He also had a high regard of the sahabas then and used to quote the explanation and understanding of the sahabas(companions of the prophet salalahu alaihi wasalam.) It was mainly through his dawah that many Muslims in Tamil Nadu refrain and abstain from Grave(Dargah) worship, Mawlid celebration, amulet belief etc. And gradually he went on to build up a large number of admirers and followers . But as the years went by, misguidance and deviation slowly started to creep into his teachings....first by rejecting some of the Sahih(authentic hadiths in bukhari and Muslim). The reason he gave was that those hadiths, in his view, seems to go against the Quran..Then he started to reject more authentic hadiths saying that they are not logical and practical. He then started to reject the understanding of the sahabas in matters of the DEEN saying that the sahabas are defective in their character and behaviour and as such we should not accept their expalnations and rulings. Day by day he and his sect at TNTJ started to deviate further and further from the correct understanding of the Deen to the extend of opposing well established and grounded islamic beliefs and principles that were brought down from the prophet (salallahu alaihi wasalam), sahabas, Tabieens and the scholars and imams of the sunnah... a good example is Pj. Jainul Abideen's rejection of the belief in the EVIL EYE and SIHIR..which PJ himself used to believe in his earlier days. He has even gone to the extreme of labelling his fellow muslims as Mushriks, those who affirm those 2 beliefs. The misguidance of P. Jainul abideen and his TNTJ sect are so many and extreme and it is hoped that our Muslim brothers and sisters in Tamil Nadu will see thru the misguidance and deviation of this man and seek Allah's help to guide them to the correct and proper understanding of the religion.
