Tariffs do past costs on to the consumer, not the foreign entity. In essence, it is a tax increase in disguise. Most people obviously don't understand that. The U.S. makes almost nothing so this will extend to other products as well.
and Reduce the number the Modules / Computers / Circuit boards in each car. 30+ Circuit boards in a Car is insanity. 1) We Don't 4 Electronic Tire pressure sensors. un-needed tech. Just inflates the cost of cars & Trucks. 2) too much tech in the cars. build them with less tech.
How do you exactly "reduce the price"? Americans presumably want better wages and conditions and apparently regulating and taxing the rich is sold as being socialist. So you are kind of screwed.
Inflation was an issue but it is going down, unemployment is still low. The dollar is still strong. Trade wars have a history of being bad for all involved.
Let's make America great again....great depression??? Cost of America made products are already far too high because everyone is trying to get rich even if cleaning toilet in America. But tariff is way to help Elon a Canadian African white man and other rich who benefit
The folks who want vehicles built here, also don’t want to pay auto workers living wages and don’t want to pay the actual vehicle costs. They want taxpayer subsidies of the industry to hide the true costs.
The real problem with American car makers is they have sloppy sub par engineering that results in over priced UNRELIABLE money pits. I gave up on US vehicles years ago ... to expensive to maintain.
Let’s see,, do you want jobs here in the USA, or no jobs here and no money, ,, Nobody has to buy the high cost stuff form over seas, IT’s all up to you,
Well the biggest solution is America when it puts its mind to it can build it in the USA. However, the biggest problem is factories take time to build and China and other countries have better efficiency in building said parts or vehicles. The turn around rate on the factor is very high. People don't want to stay long. Etc... sounds easy hard to do.
I get the sentiment that the working class and middle class in the US are screwed over, but man, there are a lot of people on here who should have done their economics homework. Tax the rich and corporations for a reasonable tax rate and start from there. Anyway, good luck with it and I hope the next government after Trump can stop the decline you guys have just voted for. You have a world of pain coming.
I’m at a loss why Americans have bought into the nonsense of Tariffs are good 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ America cannot consume everything it manufactures period. So if they think the rest of the world Won’t respond in kind to Tariffs you are sadly mistaken. Prices will go thru the roof on everything 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Once you start talking politics and what “could be”… I’m done with you. Car market has been a disaster for years. Forcing EV’s down the automakers throats without the infrastructure or customers to support it has caused this to happen. Auto makers losing millions if not billions on EV’s, in turn dealerships charging mark ups to stay afloat on anything they could. Bad quality, bad loans, bad business all the way around. The customers suffer. Haven’t you noticed the volume of repo’s and negative equity in car loans. So, no. I’m not concerned with what tariffs “might do”.
Well. You apparently think you know more than the person telling the truth. Let's hear your take. And don't just repeat some nonsense you heard from a right wing mouthpiece.
@@nickradabaugh5408 Sounds more like you think you know. But don't actually know. The only debatable thing he said is what it will cost. His estimate is way too low.
We shall see. My thoughts are that there HAS to be consequences for countries who allow any support fentenal into America without a thought. Hundred of thousands of Americans are dying yearly, and if you haven't been affected, consider yourself lucky. They're basically going after Stellantis who's been taking all of their trucks and vehicles down to Soltillo Mexico, and closing all the Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep plants in the US.

Buid them in America, design them better, improve their quality, reduce their price .

And pay employees high wages, provide health benefits, deal with labor unions. Cars would be triple the price.
How do you exactly "reduce the price"? Americans presumably want better wages and conditions and apparently regulating and taxing the rich is sold as being socialist. So you are kind of screwed.
You can't have it all. Built in America will be expensive. Especially if you expect higher quality. Cheep ain't good. Good ain't cheep.
It's more ford's and gm fault than any one's else they could build there cars and trucks in the good old USA
The world enters the conversation
Last I checked it has been a disaster these past 4 years.
Inflation was an issue but it is going down, unemployment is still low. The dollar is still strong. Trade wars have a history of being bad for all involved.
For rich and high income people but not for 60% of American who voted for Trump @@jkk2399
Trade wars do the exact opposite of what people think it does. It makes things hard to get and more expensive.
Does more tariff help?
@@jkk2399 inflation is not going down, the rate of inflation is. Truck price are not going down.
This is going to be entertaining to watch.
Totally fine with American trucks not being cheaply built in foreign countries. America first!
Can't afford these now, so tariffs or not...
If new vehicles get more expensive because of tariffs, many will shop for older vehicles which will push their prices up because of supply and demand.

Inflation is about to sky rocket again

Auto workers make too much money as it is.
@ And billionaires are paid far too little for doing nothing but preying upon communities and robbing taxpayers.

Trumps business ideas are always successful. 😂😂

Next 4 years will be a challenge like we've never seen before.
