Great Video! I should make a point of replacing my float needles this winter since I've had problems with fuel seeping into the cylinders in the past. I make sure to shut off the petcock every time I park but replacing the float needles would be a relatively easy project during non riding months here in snowy Quebec.. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and expert skills!

Loved your video,I can’t get a mechanic to do my carbs because they are all booked up! After watching your video I got brave enough to tackle them myself. I found your attention to detail very encouraging, keep up the good work!

Great video! I love the fact that you’re showing how to change out a few essential parts without needing to split all the carburetors apart. This method even allows you to take out the idler jet and high speed jet for cleaning in the ultrasonic bath (I would definitely change the O-rings at that point). Do you suppose one could also change the fuel pump diaphragm without splitting the carbs?

      Hi Claude,
Yes you don't need to split the carbs to replace the diaphragm. It is located on the bottom of carburetor 3 adjacent to the float blow. So definitely no need to split.

Thanks for the video, I have a 1980 gl-1100 and my low jets are pressed in not screw in and I saw some people are getting them out but I think they are damaging them how do you clean them without removing them ?

Hi James I'm not to sure with the pressed in ones . I would be tempted to just alternate between carb cleaner and compressed air and leave them in the carb body.
