  • I review, and ramble and repeat myself a bit, the wonderful collection of Lais written by Marie de France. Do yourself a favor and read one this weekend! You won't regret it!
Free read of Lanval from her works: people.clas.uf...
    And one of Bisclavret: people.clas.uf...
This was one of my readings for Ancientsathon, hosted by Jennifer Brooks & Hufflepuff Discovery.

Overdrive doesn't have this book and neither does my library. Well that's frustrating. Will you be doing the ancientsathon next year? I think I own a book that may qualify. 😁

Ooh yes the werewolf one 😂 I was so surprised when that turned up! I’ll give this one a reread in the verse translation you linked - thank you!

Aren’t they so good?! They definitely provide a good easy read to add to what otherwise could be an intense TBR for Ancientsathon.

Really enjoyed your review on this! I have been reading more Medieval literature lately for uni, so it has been helpful to hear your thoughts on understanding it!

@@DavidWiley7 So far I have only checked out a couple Grimoires that I could find online. If you have any great folktale recommendations that would be great!
