They’re great for run, no ear tips but they have a mini ridge that locks nicely into my ear. I’ve put about 20-30 miles in these buds no problem and the aware mode handles ambient street noise well
Great Vid Fredo. I also agree, the connection process is a bit longer than usual for me. I heard B&W don't really release firmware updates and more so on the notion that you get what you get. What's the camera you use to record? It's crisp.
Was using the FX30 for this video but just recently sold it for a ZVE10 II. Real secret to the crispy image is the lens I use, Yongnuo 16mm f1.8. It’s perfect blend of price and performance.
Had the Pi6's and returned them (twice) due to Bluetooth connectivity issues (a software update may be able to fix). Also note that the Pi6's only utilize a 2 band EQ versus the 5-7 band on the Pi8's.
@@Fredo.heavyy Because it's way cheaper and they want to make it seem like having a more flexible EQ makes the few hundred dollar difference worth it. If they put the same band on the Pi6 there would be no reason for people to choose the Pi8 over it
Would you do a Pi6 vs Pi8 review? I don’t think the distributor will have the Pi6 in Taiwan(but i could get them from amazon), so i wont be able to try them out and compare them with the Pi8. I really care about the audio, but haven’t found a good pair of wireless earbuds that satisfy me. I’ve been a Bose headphones/speakers user for over a decade. Their in-ear cable ones are great especially with the noise cancelling feature. And i also own a QC 30, it has served me well especially when travelling by plane. I’ve tried the Ultra in store, but the left earbud would just gradually slips out of my ear, and didn’t satisfy with the audio quality. On the very same day i also tried out the Pi7 S2, I’m happy with the audio quality, but the controls….so I didn’t get them. I’m so glad they have these 2 updated versions this year.
@@Fredo.heavyyI’ll check them out, Thanks! I’ve been checking out a lot of earbuds reviews on TH-cam today, I think the Az80 will be on my check out list. And I’m looking forward to your Gemini review~
Have these idk if they updated the software but mine didn't need an update when I got them. Haven't had any connection issues really and these things sound incredible for BT earbuds. Loudest and best sounding buds I've ever had and they aren't just loud they actually sound good when turned up. The app does kinda suck but it's not a deal breaker for me .
i had these and i had horrendous connectivity issues with them... cutting in and out, both ear buds refusing to connect, one or the other refusing to connect randomly. they sounded great when they worked but that was for like 2 minutes. the app is also terrible. i ended up trying out the Devialet gemini 2s, they are better. give those a try
Need to make time to test the Gemini 2, what device do you use them with? I heard some reports of people having connection issues with Pi8, this video is pretty old just took me awhile to upload. So far my pair work great with only random issue if I’m somewhere over populated with BT signals etc.
@@Fredo.heavyy ya I've had every fold except for the 5 cause it was the same as the 4. I still have the original that I use as a backup phone, they are amazing. I could never use a non folding device again. I really wish we could buy the mate XT but it sounds way too difficult to use not being able to use Google apps
The bass doesn’t blow me away, these really are reference earbuds so more “true” sound reproduction. Using the Bose quiet comfort gen 2 and loving those as my daily driver
@@Hijynx87 I have the Dali io 12 and Mark Levinson 5909. I don't regard any IEM as Reference. That's just not the case. That's not what they are supposed to be. I've had the XM4 and XM5 and Pi8 IEM's. They each have their own sound profile. Bose is typical Bose (all of which I've had) ie, their profile doesn't deviate from the Original Soundlink, The Soundlink Mini 2, the Mini and Large Revolves; it's all typical Bose so you know what you are buying into. They are certainly not odd. They are Tuned for Bose. In terms of Noise Cancelling they are exceptional. They also are flawless in every respect - basically they are IEM Holy Grail.
Cool dude...i get through same issue when I take the earphones out too. However, yes I hate the battery life. I also hate how long it takes for the buds to actually recharge the earphones when you put them back in the case. Also Anc sucks for me. I hear so much more things vs others. At times the off mode works better than anc for certain sounds. The hear thru doesn't match bose or airpods. I also have delays in touch controls and the battery issues...( putting earbuds in for hours and pulling them out and the app tells me that they are still not 100%) Also be careful with your assumption that the pi6 are just like the pi8 ....they aren't. They sound quality isn't the same at all. I also hear things about connection issues with them. Hands down this the greatest sounding earphone on earth. But it sucks with every other feature most people need. And not worth $400
exactly. I had owned pi7 s2 i had got all these problems + more and B&W ,never ever release any patch to fix any single issuse.. so i never buy again premium level earbuds like this from elite audio company cuz their customer serrvice disaster i even rised the issue opened Ticket no reply lol. anyway thanks for video. in term of sound quality they are best but all other things worst
Lol! That's an interesting perspective. Psychologically it's reasonable to wonder if the price is worth the price gap between less expensive buds that offer exceptional sound quality. And then deciding between LDAC and APTX can leave you with a inconclusive mindset especially if you don't have the money to purchase both and decided based on listening experience.
Thank you for going over these, I just picked mine up
Thanks for your honesty, Fredo💯
These are the best sounding earbuds hands down
I would like to know how it performs on running, do they have wingtips adjustable?

Best sounding earbuds by a country mile.

😂 2 bands?
Yep... only treble and bass for the EQ😅
Thanks for that info, not sure why’d they cripple the Pi6 like that

Awesome video, what are the ear tips you are using?
So good you had to make another video on them?!
This honestly should’ve been the only video but yea they’re good for me.
Give the master & dynamic 09 a try. They’re pretty good.

Is the ANC better than the Bose QC ultra?
Nothing tops the Bose Ultra.
I’m also traveling rn and went with the Quiet Comfort gen 2 as my choice, haven’t been disappointed
@@Fredo.heavyy Thanks for the feedback man!
I still prefer az80 and 3anc. I might return mine, but there is no denyimng the driver quality, there is a tactility to the sound.
Also suggest to read the reddit on these boyz, should give you some good level details on what to expect sound wise
