Great review. I actually got the 350E. It's an amazing scooter. PROS: 1. Super Beautiful design 2. The horse power and the throttle response is unbelievable for a 350cc. It's easily comparable to 500cc scooters on the road 3. The seat is unbelievably comfortable and huge for both the driver and the passenger 4. The adjustable windscreen is super handy. Airflow passes right over your head minimizing drag and wind noise 5. The brakes are very powerful and he ABS and TCS very well adjusted to help in any conditions 6. The keyless operation is perfect 7. The "no battery" operation of the key is super useful 8. The battery charging port at the front storage is super useful 9. You can easily drive through traffic in the city, and at the same time take a 2 hours trip in the highways 10. The front lights are super powerful 11. The sound of the motor and the exhaustion is just perfect like music to the ears 12. The tire pressure monitoring system is very useful 13. The consumption is great and can easily take you up to at least >400km-450km with a full tank 14. The speed is amazing. You reach 100km/hr in 8 seconds easily 15. The storage spaces are endless 16. The heated grips come very handy throughout winter 17. The on-board front and rear camera system is perfect for recording your trips CONS: 1. The only thing I would change is the suspension. It is a little bit hard. Not too much but it can be improved. 2. As for the factory tires, they work great in every day conditions. But I suppose an upgrade to City Grip 2 is always advisable for optimum performance (I'm about to do it the following 15 days 😁) 3. The mobile app that connects your phone to the 350E is average at best. It does what is supposed to do but you have to reconnect it each time you start the bike. Plus, the Navigation system is average at best, missing a lot of streets. I'm sure it will be improved in time 4. The application does not support an option to view the on-board cameras. This should be a given. Instead, they suggest using third party apps without even giving specific instructions on how to do it. OVERALL: At 5.400euros it's by far the best maxi scooter available on the market at the moment. It kills scooters like Sym MaxSym TL508, Suzuki Burgman 400, Piaggio Beverly S400, Honda ADV350,. The only true competition for the Zontes 350E is the Yamaha TMAX Tech Max

I have one U125,sold it at 21.000 km.Still going strong. But I believe more the CF Moto. My next bike,after SYM Jet X 200 at the moment,would be the NK300 CfMoto.

this scooter come to Malaysia sept 2023 and have two model 3580E and 350D, 350D lookalike xmax but im prefer 350E for big bone like me... hahaha now need to queue for one or two month to get this scooter in my country, this scooter hot product ... thanks for review, i want to buy this on june 2024 later.. for now wait local user experience first, so far have some small problem but zontes settle the issue as soon as possible one by one...
Bought it last Saturday to replace my 2009 Joymax 300, I'm waiting for it to arrive, by the way with some government grants for scrapping the old one, I'll pay 4000 euros for it with also the rear top case :-), I think it should be emphasized that the price is still absolutely competitive when compared to others in the same segment, also see in person beautiful, can't wait to try it!
I just bought 2024model xmax250 few months ago in japan, but this 350e is so much better. IF there are any chance to buy this bike in japan, i'll definitely gonna buy it.
A guy from my country bought E350 and posted report after 6000km (Samo Skuteri channel, it's on Serbian, but you have English version of this video too on his channel). Anyway, he complains that he has to adjust the mirrors while driving (i.e. the mirror holders weakened), that the front cushioning has weakened, so it's as if "... I'm driving a 50 cc scooter that was made 10 years ago" when he encounters potholes and he says that it wasn't like that in the beginning. Also, his brake bars became wobbly, you can use 2 fingers to move them slightly up and down, and he says that you can hear them vibrating while driving and that he doesn't know if it can be fixed at the service center... Also, he has to use significantly more force to stop the scooter than before and for the front right small space the cover has loosened significantly. His conclusion is that the scooter is great and that these are... little things?? 😅 For me it's unforgivable. Otherwise, I was planning to order a scooter and now all this worries me. If all this is after only a ridiculously low 6000km, what will it be at 30k? Only wheels will remain lol
My E350 curently has 2500km on it and nothing of what you said has happened. The weekend brake usually can be fixed with a brake fluid change, usually factory brake fluid is of low quality and if you ride it hard you cook your brake fluid. Anyways I will report back with a video at 10.000km.
I bought my SYM Cruisym after your reviews. When I complained after strange sound from front wheelover small bumps,only you gave me the answer. Great work you are doing. And not to forget, i bought big GIVI windscreen for my SYM , and as you said I ride him even in winter. But I am waiting your thoughts over this bike becouse i think it would suit me more even from my Cruisym. Wish you all the best@@RideWithAlex
Great review it looks to be a really great touring and all round scooter a shame we didn't have it around a few years ago when I was younger and able to handle the weight of a larger scooter, however due to advancing years (coming up to my eightieth birthday) my sights now set on the 2022/2023 Symphony ST 200. Great review once again! Leaving the brand reputation aside, this is gonna make a bit more difficult cu choose the Maxsym I think... I know it s not intended as a competitor, but at least in Romania it would make you think twice.
So much thought gone into this scooter (Honda take note!) If they could shave 25kg off the weight I think I would easily go for it but 200kg is too beefy for me (especially when you add a full tank and touring luggage etc)
The weight should help with stability at high speed on the highway. We'll see when I can take it out on the open road and really put it through it's paces.

The 350e isn't yet on sale in the UK but, given the increased interest in mid-size scooters, it should be a good seller when it arrives due to the high-spec and power. A question: you have ridden the Honda ADV350, which is recognised as having motorbike-like front suspension and ride as a result. How does the 350e compare suspension and ride-wise? Thanks.
I also have a video on the adv350 on the channel, tbh the suspension on the adv350 didn't impress me, plus the 350E also has a motorcycle style front fork with a triple tree and full size fork legs.
Love your scooter reviews. To bad scooters are second class citizens here in the US. I used to own a Burgman 400. I really miss it. I currently have a Helix which I really like but not as much as the Burgman. Not many choices in the US for scooters. I have never seen a Zontes or a Sym in the US. Too bad. 😢

The 350D is a bit small, I would go for the 350E or the Cruisym. Currently I have not taken the 350E on a long trip so I can't say which one I would chose. Hopefully soon.
I once added a screen to my sh300 that was level with my eye line. The problem was when it rained - without wipers like a car, you can't see anything. And when it's below freezing the screen ices up and blocks your view. I know you have a tall screen on your Sym too, so how is this not a problem? your weather must be similar to the UK. I would avoid any scooter with a full screen because of it.
I do not believe we enjoy Zontes in the USA, (I could be misinformed)? Nevertheless, I agree with you, so many features, (i.e., heated grips, electric wind screen, etc.), above & beyond the Burgman 400, Kymco 300i, 360 & 400 series, BMW, Honda etc., it really does look impressive! What happens when the bike's main battery is flat? Can you open the seat? Can you get to the battery? Is there a way to start it without having to get to a charger?
Without electricity you can't start the scooter, but the main battery is behind the headlights, you have a couple of clips to remove the front fearing to get to it. You don't need to open the seat.
08/2024: for the past month my local Zontes dealer went dark and now they're back, they're no longer selling 350E, they have an identical looking scoot called "ZS250T-E" that is. as the name implies, 250cc. I checked the global/Chinese website and I was even more confused to see that this 250cc version isn't listed there, but there is something called Zontes 368e which seems to their 2025 refresh of the 350e? Honestly, I'm very confused lol. any ideas what is going on from your end? it is kinda odd to just stop selling an old model all together when the refresh of it hasn't even arrived yet! and where did that 250cc version come from!
The 250 is probably made for certain markets. It's all economics in the end. Depends what the importar decides will be financially viable for your market.
@@RideWithAlex I got a reply today when I asked a dealer about it and he said it was pulled out of the market for "emission regulations" and that the 368E will eventually be avaliable instead in 2025. so that's nice! I also asked about the 250E and it turns out it's indeeded a local variant made for a local company that imports chinese bikes and put their logo on them.
@@danielchirita7742 usually consumables are in stoc and everything else is 2 weeks order away if it's in stock in Greece where the main warehouse is. Usually the main warehouse has about 90% parts in stock.
Hi Alex, this is George, we chatted a bit earlier today in the video of Sym adx tg 400. I am leaning towards getting the Zontes 350E. I have question though. I am thinking to get the set of the carriage base. I have made a few calls to sellers of the scooter and all are willing to give that and the mobile phone base for free assuming paying 100% upfront. Does this base take any carriage in the market? Is it universal? or does it take a specific carriage?
Brutus is well, only take him out for long distance trips. About traveling I usually travel alone, not many people can keep my pace I stop once every 3-4 hours when I'm riding long distance, and when I stop it's only for 10-15 minutes max. 😂😂
The Scooter has a neat cockpit, while the huge “Zontes” branding within shows, how less developed these kind of manufacturers are imho (if you don't even have a logo and you can't think of anything better than printing your brand name in metre-sized letters directly in the driver's field of vision.) Or: Nice bright white display, but with a huge black bar in it´s middle (the rev count) -designwise: 🐷🥶).

With modern fuel injection etc..good to see these machines competing with the Japanese models

PROS:

Zontes is pretty much the Xiaomi of the scooters. I love the look which reminds me of an orca. Such an elite lady.
Zontes in the past year has really stepped up their game, and from what I saw at EICMA they don't plan to stop anytime soon.

I have it for two months now! Very satisfied except from the CSTs and the android app (carbit ride)
My opinion is they should ditch their proprietary app and just put a wireless android auto and Apple car play unit and be done with it.

Nothing from Zontes is sold in the USA, I don’t know if they are sold in Canada or Mexico. This a good looking maxi scooter.
At some point I think they will enter the US market, just like Kove did.

The Xmax 300 also has adjustable handlebars. As far as i know in France the Zontes only comes in the one colour shown here, not my favourite.

It's in the manual how to reset it. If I remember correctly you hold down the set button for a few seconds

It doesn't have a switch, I don't know if you can do it from the menu. The suspension was on the stock setting, usually it's medium pre-load.
I once added a screen to my sh300 that was level with my eye line. The problem was when it rained - without wipers like a car, you can't see anything. And when it's below freezing the screen ices up and blocks your view. I know you have a tall screen on your Sym too, so how is this not a problem? your weather must be similar to the UK. I would avoid any scooter with a full screen because of it.
You learn to ride with it but yes, it does ice up and it impeeds visibility, there's no solution for it.
you can apply some anti rain product on the screen (like rain-x ) to help to evacuate rain drops ...very efficient.
that's a surprising amount of scooter for the price!
I do not believe we enjoy Zontes in the USA, (I could be misinformed)? Nevertheless, I agree with you, so many features, (i.e., heated grips, electric wind screen, etc.), above & beyond the Burgman 400, Kymco 300i, 360 & 400 series, BMW, Honda etc., it really does look impressive! How well does it handles road humps ? My experience with the XMAX 300 was not good. The whole bike jumps going over humps even at very slow speed.
Pretty decent on the bumps. The suspension is not very soft but it's well damped.

What happens when the bike's main battery is flat? Can you open the seat? Can you get to the battery? Is there a way to start it without having to get to a charger?
Without electricity you can't start the scooter, but the main battery is behind the headlights, you have a couple of clips to remove the front fearing to get to it. You don't need to open the seat.

08/2024: for the past month my local Zontes dealer went dark and now they're back, they're no longer selling 350E, they have an identical looking scoot called "ZS250T-E" that is. as the name implies, 250cc.
I checked the global/Chinese website and I was even more confused to see that this 250cc version isn't listed there, but there is something called Zontes 368e which seems to their 2025 refresh of the 350e? Honestly, I'm very confused lol. any ideas what is going on from your end? it is kinda odd to just stop selling an old model all together when the refresh of it hasn't even arrived yet! and where did that 250cc version come from!
The 250 is probably made for certain markets. It's all economics in the end. Depends what the importar decides will be financially viable for your market.

@@RideWithAlex I got a reply today when I asked a dealer about it and he said it was pulled out of the market for "emission regulations" and that the 368E will eventually be avaliable instead in 2025. so that's nice!
I also asked about the 250E and it turns out it's indeeded a local variant made for a local company that imports chinese bikes and put their logo on them.

Hi Alex, this is George, we chatted a bit earlier today in the video of Sym adx tg 400. I am leaning towards getting the Zontes 350E. I have question though. I am thinking to get the set of the carriage base. I have made a few calls to sellers of the scooter and all are willing to give that and the mobile phone base for free assuming paying 100% upfront. Does this base take any carriage in the market? Is it universal? or does it take a specific carriage?
I don't know. I have the GIVI specific carrier on mine.

Brutus is well, only take him out for long distance trips. About traveling I usually travel alone, not many people can keep my pace I stop once every 3-4 hours when I'm riding long distance, and when I stop it's only for 10-15 minutes max. 😂😂

The Scooter has a neat cockpit, while the huge “Zontes” branding within shows, how less developed these kind of manufacturers are imho (if you don't even have a logo and you can't think of anything better than printing your brand name in metre-sized letters directly in the driver's field of vision.) Or: Nice bright white display, but with a huge black bar in it´s middle (the rev count) -designwise: 🐷🥶).

@@RideWithAlex Many thanks .Really enjoyed your review..very comprehensive.i had a 1st gen T max but it became unreliable with carb issues and I've been looking for something similar but without the ridiculous pricing of the current tMax and I hope we see this model in the UK although the 310m seems like a good alternative and although it's 6 or 7 hp down on my T max it's also 50kilos lighter!!! With modern fuel injection etc..good to see these machines competing with the Japanese models

You have to brake it in if you want a healthy engine, but tbh you don't always have to keep it below 4500 rpm
