Jill it was all very tasty. Unfortunately the noise is getting that way in all the locations. Their doing away with cloth seating and curtains and removing carpets which help absorb the noise. Thanks for traveling along with us and hope your weekend has been great.

The pot roast was fantastic. The desserts were good and I think would have been better if tried alone. So many new foods coming to the restaurants, it’s hard to keep up..

Michelle was spot on about the pictures versus the actual desserts. That steakhouse 71 cake is smexxy . Could tell Todd enjoyed his sandwich the most because he gave it his parented head shake of approval❤.
Ya I think I may have hyped them up to myself to much. I thought this cake was good but it is no steakhouse 71 cake. I always try to get something different but keep going back to that sandwich lol. The pot roast stack looks interesting, but I'm going after the new milkshakes. Might have to try the crab cake sandwich, too. Many moons ago Liberty Tree Tavern had an awesome crab cake appetizer I wish they'd bring back

Yes we did. She is more of the creative side with the custom cakes and designs. She makes some fantastic sweets and other treats. I am the lucky one tha gets to try it all. Who knows maybe one day we will get ack into it. Thanks for traveling along with us.

Well then on your next visit we definitely all have to go. This is why we do these travels, so you can find new places to try. That sandwich is my favorite and the sweet taste comes from the sugar cured bacon. Oh stay tuned new merchandise is coming soon..
Had quite a few meals at Plaza restaurant since 2007. Todd, I agree with you about their turkey clubs, it was my go to meal.
The last few times we went had a meal there, they didn’t have turkey clubs, so got their pot roast dinner. It brought back memories at my grandmother’s!
My husband and son order the meatloaf.
It would be a tough call for me if I were to order now, because coming from Maryland, I would have to choose between a crab cake sandwich, or the turkey club.
As for the dessert, I’m a creature of habit and would’ve gotten a hot fudge sundae, can’t go wrong with that!
Donna the club was good this trip but that pot roast was fantastic. I am waiting for someone to try that sandwich to hear how it is. The desserts were good and probably would have been better if they were tried individually. We have always loved the plaza and can always find something good to eat. I'm so glad you were able to try the new menus and share the experience with us. I'm not so much of a sweets person (blasphemy!) but I am excited about the changes to the regular menu -- particularly bringing back a regular burger.

I laughed out loud when Todd admitted his favourite cake is Pepperidge Farm. Cake from the freezer. I was surprised Michelle, who once owned a bakery, didn't make your favourite cake. You both are so much fun. 😊

That’s what I thought. I did the same thing towards the end of the sandwich. It’s still one of my favorites.
We have yet to eat here. Need to plan on eating next time we come down.

Bummer that the desserts didn't live up to expectations. I always find you're better off getting dessert at a snack stand then in the actual restaurants. The mudslide was a 50th item, but I agree I wish it stayed along with the Montecristo. I keep hoping the Plaza brings back their breakfast because it was excellent. Hope you both have a great week!
Lindsey ya that was probably my fault for over hyping it to myself lol. They weren’t bad but for 10.00 I was expecting a little bit more. We loved the Montecristo and Mudslide some of our favorite items. Thank you for coming along on this adventure and we hope you have had a wonderful weekend.

Without any knowledge I would have ordered the chocolate cake for the caramel filling...but since Michelle couldn't really taste the filling I think on my next visit I will stick with a classic milkshake! Did they get ride of the bottomless milkshakes?

No there was no mushrooms in the gravy. It was a brown onion gravy and it was fantastic. We just love this location. Hope you guys are doing great and hope to see ya real soon. Hope your weekend had been fantastic.

Jeff they definitely have changed the menu and some favorites have left the menu. I will do more research about those milkshakes. Well don’t think you can go wrong with Beaches & Cream. Have a fantastic week and hope to see ya real soon.
