they grow old together, nice... IMO the lead characters in this drama are rare because they are not one dimensional like most drama characters. I hated Yujin earlier but he grew to be a better person (without even changing his attitude lol) and now i adore him and root for him. i fell in love with the general since the very beginning she also grew to be softer without having to change her leader personality. They complete each other so well, their dependence on each other made them stronger, not weaker. So glad i saw this gem *season 2 pls pls pls*
It’s a happy ending but, I really want to see them with their kids and fox with his wife and the sister everybody, I want to see them with their families😍😍🤗
I feel there are some missing parts in the ending... like...We wanted to watch, * Household people's reaction (Included mother in law)... * How Yunji and Zhao's kids like (especially behaviour, gender etc.)... * Fox(Hu Qing) and Qiu Shui's marriage life... * Fox and Zhao's relationship... *Qiu Hua's relationship...
Although I'm not completely satisfied with the ending, it's nice to know that the old Ye Zhao and Yujin are Sandra Ma's (Ye Zhao) real grandparents, despite never acting before. She wanted them involved and representing her older self.
I have never been a fan of Peter Shen, but he surprised me with his awesome performance, especially with his beauty. I love the chemistry between him and Sandra Ma.
im going to miss this drama so much!! like, i struggled so much for this drama 😭 and super worth it. my most favorite historical chinese drama. petition for season 2 or a atleast new drama but Sandra Ma and Sheng Peter are still the main cast 💕😂 at first, i was shock that it has 60 episodes and i thought that it'll be boring and after how many days, i just realized im on th 60th episode, im so sad and im gonna miss the whole cast! so much love!💕💕
thats a great idea , i want peter sheng and ma sichun to be the main couple again , its like season 2 is needed they did the ending so fast and the others characters did not have a clear information even yujin and zhao's being parents

I agree. This drama series is way much better than many of the western dramas that I’ve watched. It’s so much more creative and innovative. All the main actors in this drama series are so good, better than most of the Hollywood’s actors. Also I a little surprised to note that most of the actors have very pale or white skin. Wondered why the “yellow peril”? Should be more like the “white peril”!!
If a drama is from Youku there’s very small chance for season 2. See Love Better Than Immortality as an example. Strong following but no news of season 2.
So let me share my experience with this drama.. To be honest I didn't expect much with this drama because it had a really slow start ,but little did I expect I was eventually loving it's presence.. Now that I finished it I am wanting for more and more... I love the characters and I miss watching this in my free time... I regret not paying attention that much to the mid episodes... I will certainly have hard time moving on from this drama I love you YOYO for this drama and also for my sweet couple,,YUIJIN AND YE ZHAO😢💓
Omgosh I loved this show! I I laughed I cried I loved all the characters that general and the prince had great chemistry I really enjoyed this. i loved the ending, really romantic and come along story line when empress dowager Liu matchmaking them, she said that Yujin and Ye Zhao together can make love story worth telling.
I can at least respect Lady Qi a bit in the end. I think its really nice to have Ma Sichuns actual grandparents playing old version of her and ML. Story an 8, FL a 9, acting a 9, ML a 1. Averages out to a 6.8/10. Many thanks to the subtitlers, the uploaders, the cast, crew and actors that all made this show and made it available. Ending feels a bit rushed, which considering they had 60 episodes with like 20 episodes of filler, it really shouldn't feel rushed. Could have just dedicated a whole 1 or 2 episodes to show us what happened to everyone.
So amazing and interesting drama....I watched this drama many times from 1st to 60th episode without skipping the one episode...all actors have successfully done their act so perfectly 🥰💞love it....especially Zhao yujin and ye Zhao..

Damn, the two women who loved the female lead continued to love her even if they’ve been lied too and in the end they sacrificed their life, I feel for the female lead, and truthfully I wouldn’t mind if the female lead took them in as her wife, but at the same time it’ll just feel like her husband has more concubines.

It is over....ending of old couple through me off a bit cause it is yu jin telling his grandbabies their stories. I really wanted to see her give birth but still it was a good drama to watch. I can't wait to find another . Love it and awesome subs that came pretty quickly after thirtieth episode. I am so glad fox survived...and yu jin didn't die either.☺
@@flickafy Really. I too was raised by my great grandma mother which is why I have a bit more respect to elderly than to my parents. I understand who they are but to me she is pretty much more... I found a few dramas after this but now it been hard to find any that will keep my interest after 12th or 20th episodes. I will probably what this again later if it still not fresh on my mind.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the subtitles for drama. I finished it up with subtitles that you completed two weeks ago. I probably watched each episode 5 or 6 time before the subtitles where complete. The best part is seeing what I guessed they where saying was right or not and it is 70% accuracy. I have beening learning the language for a year and Chinese is so interesting and fun to learn. My boyfriend said that I know more about his culture then he does and he is from China. I remind him that in College I was a history major. When I learned Korean I did the same thing. I feel that in order to speak another language well. You should learn about the culture. I would have to say that tjis is the best historical Chinese IP drama so far this year. It made me laugh, happy and mushy inside all at the same time. Thank you for giving me the gift of happiness and laughter. When I read what the characters where saying, I laughed and smiled more. Thank you for all your hard work.
At last! I didn't quite like this drama at first, but I kept coming back to it and I am so glad that I did. I am now on the last episode and have enjoyed all preceding episodes. I will be looking at for future dramas that have the excellent actors in them. Especially, Jujin.

This story is really good. It shows two side story of the characters and can stir up different emotions. Many unexpected events happened.

Xy Neqanon i only understand for Yi Xin storyline, but not fully understand because it didnt have eng sub ~~ i dont know it is because i cant understand so her story not as fun as oh my general. So i lil bit get bored n skip a lot lol
