I definitely do prefer the riff on the older version as it’s so nostalgic but the HFB’s version is faster with better verses. Either way, Noel wrote both.

Can't agree more. We know Noel was the genius behind all those songs, but Liam deserves credit for making them sound untouchable and F'ing _HUGE,_ thereby turning them into hits and solidifying Oasis's place in the rock 'n' roll history books forever.

That isn't true. Sure, Liam or a cover band don't pay Noel directly if they play one of his songs he owns the rights to, but the performing right society collect money from venues based on songs played, and these are distributed to the owners of the song writing royalty.
