Absolutely impressive when played in first person. Id suggest to ad some details to the overworld, monsters, the fist dungeon playable and release it. It would be sad abandon it and not having at least that.
@@ArticulatedSnake Heya, I have put in additional work since you last checked in. Also almost died since then (no joke, had most of my small intestines removed). Also suffered a setback from Gandcrab encrypting my assets. Thankfully I had most backed up to the cloud. I need to remake some, but there has been a renewed interest and that has given me renewed motivation since the earlier setbacks. Thank you again for the inquiry!!!
has potential but looks too realistic for a zelda game. i know its in its very early stages but just consider cell shading that shit(if unity does that idk i never used it)
+Loga Soba it cannot really be seen in this video I am guessing, but I am using the Unity built in shader for "Lit Toon Shader", there is a light black outline on it. I will be customizing my shader though. Thanks for the input!
I am wrapping up another project that I have been working on. I had an issue with Ransomware last year that locked down all of my assets and such. I am going back through and rebuilding it all though. I will get some updates and such out there as soon as I make some progress in getting things back on track. My buddy who really inspired me to start this project many years back just passed away today, so I need to get this rolling and out there as some kind of dedication. Thanks for the interest!
I like the Voxel version better. It seems truer to the original. Why everyone wants to make 8bit remakes look like photos is beyond me. This one seems nice but too realist looking.
I had always loved the image at the beginning of the game manual, wanted to make a diorama like that since I was a kid. Learning to use Blender, Unity, Image Editing Tools (PS/GiMP), Mixamo and more has allowed me to bring what I saw in my head to reality. There have been a number of Voxel remakes I have seen, they were cool, but did not capture what I wanted at all, hence making my own version.
Yes, actually just restarted work on the first Labyrinth once more, nearly complete the basement room where the bow is found. Also, refreshing the models for the walls and ceilings etc. I will have another video soon showcasing the updated architecture and areas.
Once said and done, I will have it out there, no charge of course. This is a passion project I have been working on for some time now. Here is a more recent video of my dungeon work. th-cam.com/video/put7wh4rxkA/w-d-xo.html
I handcrafted the overworld map itself using the original map and a program called L3DT. This is a very early iteration of what I was doing, before I had any learning in Blender either, just getting ideas out of my head.
This was a very rough initial run. Even my newest iteration is now where I want it to be, learning about the many maps, lighting and more has helped me over the years.
you've done a fantastic job here man! cant wait til its done. keep up the good work
+Llama Sama Thank you very much! It really is nice to see people like what I have been doing, very good motivation to keep learning and working!
The BEST part i saw was when you drowned in the fairy life pool.
NOW THAT WAS FUNNY!!!!!!!
+Buffett Arcade Man Hah, glad you caught that!

Wow!!!! My biggest videogame dream would be to see the first zelda in 3D VR , that’s pretty close to that! Amazing!!
Well, just so happens I am working to get this into VR Chat.
1rst person camera needs a bit more of angle. Just a bit, enough to make it wider.
Simply Amazing!!! Kepp up the fantastic work on this :-D
Maybe original one love in Nes
very nice man cant wait to play
I want to play this when will it be available
PLEEEASE!!! you must finish this game, it looks awsome, i want to play it soon, congrats!
+Quone Llama I plan to. Work on it a bit each week, new tutorials etc, more videos to come!
@@JohnCrandell sooo?

I would LOVE to be a tester. How can I be a part of this!?
Is there a download?
No, not yet, but I am making it available in VRChat
Where is this? How much to access this?

Isn't this what zelda nes was ment to look like?

I'm sorry to say it but I'm getting some Zelda CDI flashbacks.
+GuyOnAChair Not certain what you mean by that?
+John Crandell My mistake. I was watching it from a phone and from afar it looked like this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zelda%27s_Adventure
Ahh, I do see what you mean, with the perspective being the same.
Zelda Adventure was ok far as the over word looked i like the realistic look as well
any progress ?

nice
It definitely looks better from the player perspective
agreed
Amazing..i'd pay you $ for the finished product, wish i could help, Dont give up!

THE LINK PLS!!!
I always kind of interpreted the overworld of LOZ to be like badlands.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badlands
needs ALOt of work. not good enough to demo it.
ill keep the original all i see are premade assets

oo Interesting
Unity remake looks bad in visual design.

the 3d is just 3d imaging bs why cant you do a snap click of oot as the original map
it not cool
