Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory. Great bike. Much better components than on the Triumph. I wonder how well Triumphs sell outside the UK. The dials on that new R were old hat years ago and the headlights still divide opinion.
The TFT for the ST R is brand new (came with the 3 yr old Trident, used on 660 Tiger and other models since). It’s a hell of a lot of Bike for less than £10k, and is not budget quality unlike many of the others here (Aprilia aside). what’s the deal with noisy hubs? everyone’s chasing the most ridiculously marginal gains… well making sound takes energy. Stereo amps are even rated in watts… so wouldn’t a hub design that didn’t spend some of your energy making noise be more efficient?
How did Bob get to this top 10? Was it purely votes on a poll, in which case it's probably most desirable to the masses or most popular rather than 'best'. Not saying any of these are bad it just seems a bit of a time waster as there are so many great bikes.
I don’t know. Less suspension adjustment, no quick shifter and way heavier than the street triple so the hp difference is moot. I’ve ridden some Z bikes as well as MT’s and KTM nakeds. The triumph is by far the highest quality build and takes less money and work to get it truly track ready. Plus triple sound. It’s the one for me.
I just don't get why somebody would ever choose an aprilia 660 over a street triple r for the same price. The street triple motor is just soo much more powerful.
It is, but the Aprilia RS 660 is definitely prettier than a Street Triple and also sportier than a Daytona 660. If you're into slightly older bikes i would get a Daytona 675😉
