      It might be worth noting that not all dragons are neccesarily ok with humanity existing. After all, they were introduced by the Primordial one and therefore effectively invaders as far as some of the dragons are concerned. Just because Neuvillette is friendly and pro human doesn't mean they all will be.

    Neuvillette's true power has nothing to do with the Hydro Gnosis. This is confirmed in 4.2. He still has his full dragon powers unlocked even after giving the Gnosis to The Knave.

    • @BluesLoreCrumbs
      @BluesLoreCrumbs  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Yes, 4.2 cleared a lot of things! But I wouldn't say his power has nothing to do with gnosis. As of right now I'm 95% sure the authorities are contained within the gnoses, and that's due to Neuvillette's vision character story. We now know that the creation of the gnoses also resulted in the creation of seven celestial overseers, responsible for handing out visions. As of this patch, Neuvillette has his authority back and he is now the one to grant hydro visions. From here follows that all visions stem from the dragons' power. And since the gnoses and overseers seems to be connected, the authorities should be contained within the gnoses. So Neuv's authority was powering the gnosis, which is extremely compatible with it. He removed it and handed the the gnosis, as an empty vessel, to the Knave.
      I hope I explained it clearly, it is a lot! This is my current personal interpretation of the new lore we have been given, in any case. But I'm working on a video that dissect it all and tries to make sense of the big picture.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@BluesLoreCrumbs It's an interesting theory! Though it's been confirmed that the visions comes directly from Celestia without any proxy, the Archons do not hand out the visions. And the Gnoses were created from the remains of the Third Descender, thus are an outside power and the dragons are native to Teyvat so the Gnoses have no connection the the power of the dragons and their authorities really. I'm not trying to be rude if it comes out that way I just like a healthy discussion between two lore nerds :D

    • @BluesLoreCrumbs
      @BluesLoreCrumbs  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@slackmartin7610 Oh no, not rude at all! Different points of view are always welcome and I'm always happy to discuss lore!
      That said, I think my comment was a little confusing, I see how it seems to imply the archons are involved, but that wasn't what I meant. When Focalors executed her plan, she didn't just take her own life, she destroyed the Hydro Archon, the very concept of it. Meaning there will never be a new one and the cycle of 7 has been broken. As of right now, the only way it makes sense to me is if there are either gods or physical manifestation of power up in Celestia that mirror the archons (7 overseers ≠ 7 archons) - the sevens seats the archon war happened over. These overseers being mentioned for the first time in the aforementioned story. It is these overseers that distribute the visions, so the archons have no actual input on it. They are issued directly by Celestia, just like you said. Meanwhile, since all visions are the same and only differ in element, Neuvillette granting hydro ones from his authority (described as pieces of himself) implies that all others are also made from dragon authorities. Since these overseers seem to have been created alongside the gnoses, and if they use a dragon's authority to give out visions, then those authorities should be contained inside the gnoses. My current working theory is that gnoses have zero power on their own, and that's an assumption based on the traveler's own power.
      I'm sorry, I feel like I'm still writing this down in a super convoluted way. There is also a lot on the traveler, too much to type on mobile x) I'll have the video out in a few days and it analyses the vision story phrase by phrase, takes a look a Focalors' plan and the traveler and uses it to piece everything together. I think I made that one much clearer haha. In any case, if you want, once I get home I can use my pc to reply back with a smaller analysis where I provide the quotes I'm basing myself off, so it doesn't feel like I'm just making random connections.

      @@BluesLoreCrumbs While we're talking about the gnoses, I have a theory, and maybe you can make a video based on it if you find it intriguing. I think that the third descender may be the sibling. And the one we see in-game is a copy, which isn't a stretch because she/he is connected to khaenri'ah which had the power to create life (Albedo). In the beginning of the game we saw that the siblings had a golden power, which I believe is all the elements together, we see this in the cutscene where all the Adepti pour all elements into the traveller and that power becomes golden. When The Heavenly Principles "captured" the sibling in the beginning of the game she looked very interested at the golden cube, remember that it's confirmed now that the gnoses are from the third descenders body? And if the sibling copy I talked about is true it would make sense that Nahida found information about her/him in irminsul, becauise that copy of the sibling was created ON Teyvat. The Traveller IS the fourth descender, which should make the sibling the third in my eyes cus they never say that the siblings TOGETHER are the fourth descender(s). It's a small theory I've cooked up but I personally find it very interesting!

    So I'm not sure if anyone has made the connection yet but allogene translated to Greek means of a different gene a.k.a. of a different species or genus, and from the Enkonomiya event we learnt that Vishaps can evolve into humanoids, combining those two we could make the assumption that allogenes a.k.a. vision holders are not real humans and from Neuvilete we learn that dragons can reincarnate into the human form. What if allogenes are in fact of the draconic origin and thus can use the elements(not implying that they are reincarnated dragons but merely of the vishap bloodline) and Celestia knowing how powerful and thus dangerous they could become devised the plan to bestow visions upon them in order not to help them harness the elements but instead to limit their true potential of their dragonic bloodline.

    We also have Xbalanque's introduction of Neuvillette. The intros inherently are about the characters, so them saying "when THEY return, THEIR true ordeal shall begin" has to highlight that other dragons will also regain some level of their power back. Neuvillette has to be included in that "they" because the intro is about him. Also bonus primal fire like the primordial sea, so probably the pyro dragon?
    Random but you reminded me about a theory video I watched about Zhongli. The conversation with him at the end of Liyue's archon quest includes a joke about how mora won't be made anymore, and it was seemingly an oversight and all that, played off because he never really had to think about mora since... he could just make it any times it was necessary, so of course now it doesn't come to mind for him. He comments about how it's a shame that he didn't have some saved for himself before handing over his gnosis, which is needed in order to create mora in the first place, stating that the golden house will have to stop operations for a "lengthy period of time" (what's lengthy to a bring that's been around for 6000+ years?). Paimon literally says the world is coming to an end. Not just because of the surface level issue of deflation (no mora means more people hold onto it, less buying and trading, people lose jobs because no one is spending, and the economy gets even worse trying to encourage spending by lowering prices even more). One of the flavor texts for the loading screen tells us that mora is literally a catalyst that is a medium for transformation and that's why many things need mora in order to be accomplished. To us as players, it's just using resources to do things, but they literally gave a lore reason for leveling up things using mora and all that. Lack of new mora means that in the grander scheme of the game, fewer technological advancements can be made because mora is a dwindling commodity that (technically) can't just be used willynilly on projects. I'm wondering if Zhongli partially DID plan for this to happen because it's a subtle way to shake an inherent foundation of the seven nations. It would be really funny if that managed to circle back into relevance as we get closer to "the end"

    This would make sense because of every archons losing their Gnosis (Celectia losing their grip on every regions), every archons wanting to just live their lives without having to care much about their region or following Celestia orders.
    Since WE the traveler are on Teyvat, we are moving the world around whenever we do something, the world is changing because of us and that's a huge way for the Soverigns to step forward and take control of their planet. Teyvat is theirs to begin with, and with the help of the traveler they will take it back. That might be the Cryo archon plan from the beginning, getting every Gnosis to give each Soverign power back to their owners so they can attack Celestia together to end their tyranny freeing the world.
    Neuv is a good dragon, he lived long enough with humans to know how they think, act and do things. Apep is dangerous but she will for sure help Neuv to attack the heavens if she can heal and be sure to win this time. We might no need every Soverigns to attack Celestia, our power alone is already extremly dangerous and it might be enough with the help of Neuv/Apep/Cryo Archon/Dain/Abyss sibling.
    Maybe everything i said will be washed away with the future lore of the game but there's a huge chance.

    he doesn't say that he will attack Celestia he says his purpose is to judge the gods. What it appears to be is some kind of war tribunal similar to the one that was formed in 1899. It is possible that the actions committed is the cause for why Theyvat is not functioning as normal. We know actions have consequences inside this game, its not just forgotten memories, it converts to energy and affects everything from the Abyss to Irminsul.
    It is hard to say were the story is going from that point but Neuvilette obviously has knowledge about who should be in that tribunal since he says "Forgive me for overruling this sentence" This means Neuvilette has knowledge about the old gods he may very well be a "witness" which is a title Zhongli gives to them that witnessed the archon war without forgetting what actually happened. More over the information in the game is extremely unreliable since Irminsul posses the ability to change history ( Rukkhadevata). Witness coincidentally also is a title you use for people defending in a trial, and what is Fontaine all about?
    I have long suspected that the Abyss is the true heaven and that the sinners in the game only sees the Abyss as monstrous because divinity is something foreign to them. The game is still trying to hide this truth the biggest reveal was the Melusines born from Primordial water see a cute dog and not a rift hound they also see the traveler as "a monster that will devour this world" which paints another picture entirely. What if the abyssal corruption we are cleansing is the only pure thing left in Theyvat. This fits with taies of other corrupted beings like Durin who experience confusion and thinks Dvalin just wanted to play with him. The traveller will experience the same confusion thinking they purified Theyvat but all they did was destroy it.
    If a vision is taken away from a human, most humans feel like their soul has been taken away. This means that the visions may not just contain memories they may in fact be created to harness memories to power Irminsul. Now if that theory holds true, Theyvat is under a tyranny and is possibly the real reason why Tsaritsa decided to go to war, she loved the humans the most as the Goddess of Love. The other archons are neutral somewhat but they also seem to take a liking to humans suggesting the archons might ally themselves with Tsaritsa.
    However seen from Celestias point of view humans are responsible for the destruction of heaven and the abyssal corruption. The soultion with Irminsul was only created to keep humans away from obtaining forbidden knowledge which you could easily argue is a defense strategy to keep Theyvat intact. It does however not change the fact that taking away humanities freewill is equivalent with slavery.
    All hail Tsaritsa the mother of dragons.

    While Physical doesn't have a proper elemental name, symbol or any dedicated wielders, it is in fact the combination of all elements.
    It is represented by white and from light comes the rainbow but being honest, using colors alone is flimsy.
    There is very few Elemental Abilities that actually deal physical damage and all of them create a burst of white light. Most notably Eula's burst.

How could anyone exist so close to the abyss. Heck, how could anyone even touch forbidden knowledge without there being problems for so long? And why did they not arrive sooner and allow it to go on long enough for it to reach the point that it did? Simple. They just didn’t know. It was only when dain ran to the surface, allowing the abyssal monster to enter the overland, and once he told rhukkadevata or egeria what was happening did the archons take him even somewhat seriously, Celestia got wind of what he was talking about through their careful watch over the world and contacted all the archons telling the, to head to kheanriah because they were going to destroy everything. If this is true then in lumines eyes had he not told the gods what happened they never would’ve been cursed, and she very well believes they either could’ve tamed the beasts or held off against the catastrophe with their strength alone/

    Enjou is lying and Kokomi is correct about Vishap people. And we know that's true because Tsumi has a piece of the medallion thing that is in three pieces. One piece was given to each of the three ... uh... classes of Orobashi's society. The familiars, the priesthood (the normal people at first then the priests - Kokomi has it) and the judges (who are all dead and the piece was lost) - something like that. If they all agree together then they can shut down the Lighthouse. If Tsumi was a mere Vishap she would not have this medallion. Well to be precise Kokomi says they lost the medallion piece when they lost the last familiar of Orobashi a few centuries back when that person (as a kid) was in Enkanomiya for some reason and I think her group was attacked by Vishaps and Tsumi was kidnaped (familiar-naped?) and raised by the Vishaps. This piece of medallion wouldn't have helped the Vishaps as it would (i think) need an actual familiar to use it. ie the Vishaps didn't kill the familiar and take the medallion piece. That's suggested by the fact that the third piece of medallion is just hanging around the Lighthouse like junk to be picked up by anyone, and yet the Vishaps have never picked it up.
    Also Enjou doesn't directly lie if he can help it and he never says outright that vishap people exist. He implies it.

Assuming the third descender is dead i think tsaritsa wants to revive the descender from its gnosis remains but give it the power of the seven dragons which r encased inside the gnoses

    The eggshell line is a reference to Demian, I think. It’s basically an old German book. Any Utena fan knows what I’m talking about…
    “The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God. That God’s name is Abraxas”
    Tldr it’s all about growing up and stuff but I’m pretty sure his line about the egg might be an intentional reference

    I've never liked the various eight (or more) element theories, but especially since René started saying that those 7 are the minor energies with no will, and Abyssal / Celestial energy has a will and therefore are 'better' somehow, more powerful and can absorb the lesser energies - as we see Traveler absorb them, and apparently the Primordial One does something similar.
    At any rate my view is that dragons already fought twice. When the PO arrives he fights the Seven Sovereigns separately. Each nation fights alone instead of teaming up. I don't think the seven nations had much organization or helped each other. Later on they have another go at it and decide they need a war leader and appoint an overall king. This king is the one who has the idea to try to use Forbidden Knowledge. Well that doesn't go all that well as it turns out. Afterwards the dragons are split (their king was dead for a while? and now is absent?) and some do this and some do that, some boil with anger, some ally with humans, others are just gone.
    This is partly based on the idea that the dragons are treated by the game narrative as if they were an indigenous population facing a colonial attack. In those circumstances initially the indigenous population is not all under one command.
    This interpretation means the Before Sun and Moon book is accurate in saying the PO fights "seven" dragon sovereigns. It does not say the PO fights one dragon king. Nor does it say it fought eight dragon Sovereigns. Also the Dragon King could be one of the Seven that happened to be more aggressive (like Pyro) and at the time of the second war they may have been missing a dragon sovereign or two (eg the dragon of Hydro/water).

    It's sounding like Teyvat is more and more like a situation similar to the one that the world is in in Scrapped Princess.
    If you can't watch it for some reason (this is directed to anyone who reads this, who might not be able to watch that anime becauae they couldn't get into it).
    I suggest you at least watch the VERY last episode.
    It will be extreamly out of context, but the last few minutes of last ep, just after the "battle" and before the epilogue should at least show you why I think they might have used Scrapped Princess (aside from at least 2 sets of twins being in it, as well).

    About neuvillette wanting to kill the primordial one.
    The primordial one was stated to be weakened and severely wounded from the war against the second who came
    The "second who came" is likely more powerful than the dragons
    However realistically if the primordial one is extremely weakened neuvillette might actually have a chance against him

      Except that neuvillette's character story talks about how the primordial one and the second who came came to an agreement and worked together to create the gnosises, which means, not only is neuvillette the only dragon so far to get his powers back, but is now against, BOTH the primordial one and the second who came, who are Individually stronger than all 7 dragons will full power, imagine how powerful they're together

    Warning, big spoiler for 4.2 story but I am really confused, hope that someone could explain it to me:
    At the end of the 4.2 story quest, Focalor returned the authority to Neuvilette by killing herself and destroying the "seat" and it was revealed by Skirk that the Gnosis is the remains of the third outsider. Was the gnosis not the original authority of the sovereign? Because Neuvilette regained his authority without destroying/possessing/absorbing the Gnosis (We can figure this out at the end because Neuvilette gave the Gnosis to Alercchino). So in my opininon there is two condition to be an archon, to be authorized to sit on one of the seven "seats" and possessing an Gnosis, so is the Starita trying to revive the third Outsider by collecting all of the Gnosis? And is the third Outsider stronger than all of the sovereign combined? Since destroying the seat didn't notice the heavenly principle but only by destroying the Gnosis will.

    • @lynchieOwO
      @lynchieOwO 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I guess Celestia aren't doing anything cause Nahida said that the "Heavenly Principles are asleep". Maybe Tsaritsa knew that and started collecting all of the gnoses before the Heavenly principles wake up.

    • @Shreyash112
      @Shreyash112 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess u are correct to a certain extent, i guess seat here is not physical quantity but its archon having the authority,before hydro archon died,she gave the power back to neuvilette by herself and i guess if she hadn’t given it back that way,then the authority would go back to gnosis,so at last gnosis is just empty vessel when neuvilette gave it

    • @Facto_Sapien10
      @Facto_Sapien10 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Here's my theory
      Gnosis are powered by remains of the third descender
      Meaning the archons use the third descenders powers not the sovereign
      While, the gnosis is power by the remains itself, the authorities of the dragon sealed INSIDE the gnosis
      This could explain that neuvillette extracted the power from gnosis without weakening the gnosis

    • @surasauce8027
      @surasauce8027 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lynchieOwO The way I understood it was that the "seat of power" or "authority" was taken from the dragon sovereigns and "housed" within the remains of the 3rd descender. Making the gnosis a "caging" like item to hold the power and title within. Just my speculation of how I interpreted it. :) That being said, with the "Seat of the Hydro Archon" now destroyed, more of a metaphorical seat, the hydro gnosis is just an empty bauble, or if not empty, weaker since the Seat of the Hydro Archon posed by Celestia is permanently gone and the original authority returned to the Dragon Sovereign of Hydro, thus making the gnosis lose its value aka why Neuvilette does not 'need' a gnosis. With Celestia's Hydro Throne removed, Neuvilette is basically something alike to the raw power the gnosis' hold within but with no restrictions/caging.
      Sorry. I think that came out in circles. lol.

    I still think we don't have people join our party just that everyone we pull for are people who bless us with a portion of their powers to assist us since we do act as a conduit of elemental energy along with certain unknown energies like the corruption of dvalins tears. So theoretically we do transform our capabilities into those of others and from our perspective we change into them but other people simply see us using multiple weapons and abilities.
