I was super hyped to get these because I was upgrading from a cheaper off-brand set. It worked great for about a month. Super quiet and smooth on road bike 26mm gatorskin tires. I was stoked because I live in an apartment building and my downstairs neighbors said it was quieter than my old set. The one thing that I noticed sucked right off the bat was that it didn't come with a step stool. It might not seem like a big thing, but it's REALLY hard to get on the bike without it. My old set has one and I love it. Several weeks ago, after riding 25kms everyday for about 25 days, it started making a loud clacking sound. Turns out the back roller had a huge crack in the middle. Reached out to the seller asking if he could replace the rollers or at least the back roller. He did, he sent a replacement roller. I installed it and every was good with the world again. As crazy impossible as it may sound, the next day, the noise came back, only this time it was the other two rollers that had cracks. I am 190lbs and my bike is 19lbs, so, well within the specs. Another issue I saw that could be a problem, I just never got it working long enough to really see if it was an actual problem, was the belt. It's extremely close to one of the fasteners, so, the vibration of the belt may be enough to make it rub against it and make it snap. You'd think that being a Garmin company and for a $200+ price you'd be getting something good. I think it's lacking in features and durability is simply crap. My old $50 set is way better, came with a step stool, an extra belt and hasn't cracked in 3+ years.

Wow that is a bummer. Thanks for sharing, I will be keeping an eye out to see if I end up having the same issues. Truth be told, I have had a heck of a time being able to stay on it so I have not ended up using it much.

@@milehighfatguy I wish you luck, man. I hope it doesn't break for you. Keep us updated. I'd like to see if it's just a me thing or if it's more common. Amazon reviews make it seems like it's not super uncommon for this thing to break.

Thank you so much for this video. I would have NEVER figured this out without your help. The instructions the rollers come with are pretty poor.

It is, my hunch is it may change depending on the tread of the tires
