Great video! Love my Arc, although I did replace the wire cutters with the EOD replaceable cutters. I usually cut soft wire and like to use the base of the cutters, this was the best option for me. As a former TTI user, the Arc has been fantastic in many hard use cases so far. Totally recommend.

I would absolutely pick up one of these for 230 dollars. Sadly I live somewhere where its more like 450 dollars so really hard to justify it when I already have a Surge and a Wave+ unless it drops a bit in price.

Excellent review. Info we (Leatherman devotees) can all use. I liked your transparency and QC comments. Probably stay with my Wave for the time being; it's durability/price point works for me. Gil

Are there any good durability test out there? Showing how it holds up to dirt/dust/metal shavings/pocket rust/water etc.

I have been using a multitool in one form or another from the late 90’s, they are a useful carry tool but by not means a replacement for dedicated work hand tools ! They have certainly evolved over this time into what is now with the ARC arguably the best EDC tool available. That said it is still only a multi tool, if used as such it’s a very fine tool, handy in a multitude of daily issues, sometimes it’s easy to forget not everyone that carries a multitool is a blue collar worker with possibly a slightly heavier tool requirement, the EDC community has encompassed a much wider user base. For EDC the ARC is great, shop floor a Wave + or similar might be preferable given the magnets and no small matter of cost. Current EDC has changed the game for many and the costs involved with the ARC are now frequently treated similarly to the cost of a EDC watch as it’s no longer just about function !

I have a Surge and Wave plus as well. Although I bought this, I question the integrity of it. I mean I'm sure it's fine, but when using the pliers do you feel like you can really, and I mean really, torque down on it?

No problem when using the pliers

Just search leatherman military discount, it's hard to find on their website but pops right up on Google. They also have healthcare workers and first responders discount (possibly others too)
