The only bridge to access was taken down Oct. 2010. My mother in law's cousin is the only inhabitant. He has a house boat and is the islands only unofficial resident. He keeps watch and makes sure the island is kept natural and squatter free... The owners of the island property keep him there and supplied to watch it over...
so that guy you saw in the rubble is named bugg man. known him years, he's the caretaker for the radio station. he and I have been friends over 10 years

Yeah, it's not that bad, there's actually some people that live back there! There was a murder there that happened a few years ago though! It's a good spot to go and get bait :)
