    So nice to hear that you don't have to get rid of the salt. So many people advise that you chuck it out and use fresh. Sounded very costly in the long run. Many thanks x

    Hi. I just and across another video (link above) stating that cleansing with salt damages and neutralizes stone.. Is it safe to cleanse crystals with salt or no?
    Thanks.

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Karina,
      If a crystal is very soft, the salt may scratch or damage the crystal. So, what you can do instead is have a bowl of dry sea salt, place a soft cloth on top of the salt and then place the crystals on top of the cloth. The salt will still cleanse the crystals through the cloth and that way your crystals won't get damaged. :)
      ~blessings,

    hi :) i really like your videos. i find them really helpful to gather information because i work in a crystal store. i have a question for you though, isn't the salt damaging the crystals in some kind of way? i heard different opinions on that so i'm not sure if i should clean mine this way or not

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hi Isa,
      So, some crystals that are very fragile, the dry salt might scratch the surface of the crystal. So, to cleanse these crystals, you could smudge them instead. Or, if you do want to use salt, you can do this method instead: put some dry sea salt in a bowl, then cover the salt with a soft cloth, then place the crystals on top of the cloth. That way, the crystals don't touch the salt directly and won't run the risk of being damaged. The salt will still purify the crystals through the cloth! :)

      Thank you! This is a much quicker way to cleanse them. I used to cleanse them with hematite over night and recharge them with crystal quarz by day but smudging and using salt is a much easier! :)

    Can you use sea salt to clear selenite crystals? and should you cover your stones?

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      sue sues Hi Sue!
      Yes, you can use sea salt. Just put the dry sea salt into a bowl and place a cloth on top of the salt so that the selenite does not scratch as it is a soft stone. No, you don't need to cover the stones but you can if you like.
      ~blessings,
      Christa

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Luci!
      Selenite is a stone that doesn't need cleansing, however, having said that, I always cleanse my selenite anyway. I cleanse my selenite nor only to remove negativity, but more importantly, to keep it's healing vibration high. So, in general, I always cleanse all my stones! :) In my opinion, it's better to cleanse the stones then not to cleanse to keep the stones at a high healing vibration.
      ~blessings,
      Christa :)

    I love your channel. You are very professional and a lovely lady... (Ahhhhhh) :)
    Christa, I have small pieces of different crystals inside my 'wish tiny bottle'. (I can not open it - not that I want too). Silly question, can I rinse my bottle under water and thank the negative energy for leaving, and replacing it with positive energy? I then hold my bottle between my hands and infuse it with my intention. (I do however, feel it works)
    Many thanks - Hope to hear from you soon - Namaste - xo

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Hugs And Kisses Hi!
      Thanks so much for your kind words and lovely compliment. I appreciate it a lot :) :) That's a great question. You can smudge it with palo santo wood or sage and that will clear it as the cleansing energy of the wood or sage will go through the glass. Or you could put your bottle on top of a dish or dry sea salt, and that will cleanse it too. Once cleansed, then you can infuse your intentions into it. Water is a way to cleanse crystals too but is not a method that I use. I find salt or smudging more powerful.
      ~blessings,
      Christa :)

    Hi Christa,
    I'm a reiki therapist and I do love to use crystals in my treatments both on clients and within the treatment room. Thank you for your videos they have been an amazing tool whenever I've needed clarity with using the right crystals. But I need some direct advice please. My grandmother has been diagnosed with dementia and as much as she loves having reiki, I'm finding her memory has deteriorated a lot more in the last few months. What crystals would you recommend would work best in helping to improve her memory or at least help slow down the progression of her illness? Whether they can be used when I do reiki on her or just something she can have to hold or wear. I'm aware there's very little that can be down and reiki certainly helps improve her mood which has slowed some of the side effects of her dementia but every little that helps in improving her memory quality and emotional happiness each day is a blessing.
    Many thanks for your time.
    Kristina

      Zoe Ellington Hi Zoe!
      That is a great question. The full moon energizes crystals with its energy (amplifies the healing energy) but does not cleanse the crystal. My preference is to cleanse the crystal first and then put it in the moonlight to charge up its energy :)

    this was very helpful thank you!! is it also true that you have to keep the point of the crystal facing down while cleansing? i heard that somewhere and i was just wondering if it was accurate!

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nicole Distefano Hi Nicole!No, you don't have to keep the point down when cleansing the crystal. Some people believe that it's best to hold the point away from you while cleansing as points direct energy. It's more about personal preference because some cultures cleanse the crystal point up. So, there are lots of different opinions so, it's best to cleanse the crystal that feels best to you :)

      Crystal Healing Thank you so much for answering! I also have some other questions! If you do not cleanse or set an intention for your crystals will they not work? (I slept with a piece of Amethyst under my pillow and have not cleansed it or done anything with it at all and I did not feel anything from the stone and I had a really hard time falling asleep and staying asleep) Also, should you give your stone an intention EVERY time you use it even the intention has not changed? Are there any good books on the basics of crystals, their capabilities and other necessary information for beginners that you could recommend? I am so sorry for asking so many questions but I am very new to crystal healing and I really trust your advice more than anyone else! Thank you :)

    Christa I have a question in regards to crystals and cleansing?
    If sunlight and sea salt cleansing why not just sit in the sun, or sea salt bath, wouldn't that take care of problems and issues?
    We are basically liquid crystal beings. Just wondering what your thoughts on this are.

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thomas J Hi Thomas!
      Thanks so much for your message. This is an interesting question! Yes, our bodies contain crystalline energy. Sunlight is a mild cleanser and is more of an energizer as it contains life force energy. So when feeling depleted, the sunlight can give an energy boost and fill the body with prana (or life force energy). As for a salt bath, it works well to cleanse a person's aura of stuck emotions and stress but it won't cleanse stuck emotions and/or negative beliefs that get stored inside the body that can lead to ill health. So, this is where crystals can be more beneficial to release those emotions, negative beliefs, stored traumas, etc that are already stuck in the body that might be disrupting physical health. So, using crystals first and then following up with a cleansing salt bath can be a good and powerful healing combination! I think of a salt bath more about prevention and keeping the aura really clear after crystal healing has been done. I hope that helps give some insight.
      ~blessings,
      Christa :)

      Lana Chang Hi Lana,
      Salt cleanses but does not energize the stones. To energize, you can place the stone in the sun or full moon light to energize them. So always cleanse stones first and then energize them. That way, their healing energies will be strong and bright :)
      Thanks so much for watching and I am glad you like the videos :)

    other woman said, we should not use the salt after use it for cleansing because of the negative energy/aura it now contains, which one should i follow then?

      The salt transmutes the negative energy into light - so it neutralizes the negative energy. I wouldn't use the salt for cooking, and instead only using it for cleansing crystals because that salt is dedicated to cleansing crystals only.

    Hi Christa!
    Greetings all the way from South Africa ^_^
    Thank you so much for the video!
    Just a question, why does one use sea-salt for the cleansing process? What properties does it have, giving it the ability to 'remove any negative vibrations' from the crystals?*

    • @christahealing
      @christahealing  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Imcia!
      That is a great question. Sea salt has the ability to cleanse and draw out impurities from crystals. Even in hospitals, wounds are cleansed with salt solution to draw out toxins and/or infection to allow for healing. Salt by its nature is very pure and has a high vibration to cleanse and neutralize negative energy. So, when crystal is resting in salt, the salt acts as a vacuum, pulling out unwanted energies from the crystal and then the salt neutralizes those energies so they are harmless.

      Good morning! ॐ
      Thank you for replying so swiftly ^^,
      I don't have access to Sage or other 'sacred&spiritual' herbs&plants for the smudging process, so this tip on cleansing crystals with sea-salt really helps me out a lot*
      I also use sunlight every other weekend to cleanse&charge my crystals ☼
      Which leads me to another question: Which crystals&gems should not be placed in direct sunlight due to fading, etc (I am aware of Amethyst)?
      Have a magical day! ☮

    Being new to crystals I must say your videos have been very helpful. Quick question. How often do I cleanse them? and how often would I charge them? Thanks so much

      +Gumaro Hi!
      I'm glad you are enjoying my videos :) For cleansing crystals, cleanse them before you work with them and directly afterwards too. If you find that a crystal isn't looking as bright, then chances are it needs to be cleansed. I personally charge my crystals with every full moon :)

    Hi Christa, I noticed you placed the stones on top of the salt, can you cover the stones in the salt? Or will it ruin the stone?
    Thanks
    Lori

      +Lori Mrasek Hi Lori!
      Some stones are soft and more fragile so I personally don't cover them in the salt because it runs the risk of scratching them :)
