In case you haven't figured it out yet, those two separate rubber "feet" go into the holes on the stand itself. You use them for smaller devices like tablets. There is likely a peltier cooler inside which cools down the metal pad that your laptop rests on. You have to adjust the position of the cooler so that it sits right under the hottest part of your laptop. It is very portable, the only thing I could have wished for would be a USB hub like other coolers provide.
If Teesso wants to send us a few laptops for us to test, sure 🤣 all of our studio MacBook Pro have the M1 or M2 chip so they don’t really get hot… at all. So it’s not the best test. But the stand really does cool stuff down so there’s that
I’m going a little crazy having tried various fan etc options but to no avail. I live in a hot country and whilst editing video my MacBook gets so hot I turn it off to allow cooling Because this has a radiator & semi conducting will this not create condensation for the Mac internally?
@@SlimothyI’m currently using the IETS GT500 but it’s designed more for laptops than Mac as it still gets very hot. Thanks for the response though and your videos deserve way more views! Have an awesome day!
Won't this build up condensation from cold air meeting hot air???? Fine if your mac doesn't have vents on the bottom, but 100% of gaming laptops do and water/vapor will surely be getting blown into your machine i would assume? I'd love to test this but it's an incredible risk especially for my 4090 laptop.
Water vapor starts to build up if you get to less than 5 degrees Celsius. I don't think that will be a problem with this solution. If you're running a 4090 laptop you'll be well over 100W. You can't possibly get that with a 2A USB outlet coming off your notebook.
I personally say that this is not worth it, I bought one just like this (the all black model) and it didn’t really work so well. I got about a 5 degree difference (in Celsius) which isn’t much for the prices they would be selling this for. (The one I bought was $30ish with the cooler and stand)

Nice!
*Do you all use a cooling stand for your laptop?*
could you do a review with a laptop that has vents at the bottom then stress test and see how it fairs against a laptop under full load

I can’t answer that, might be good for the manufacturer to answer though they might know.

I’m not sure if anyone has tested this or not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

use some common sense.. how cold do you seriously think this cooling system gets,, its not a freezer

nice, 5c is probably a lot more than you'd get with a basic stand
Does it create internal condense?
I mentioned in the video that no one knows (that I know of). I don’t think anyone opens their Mac to look 🤣
