I want something that i know they're never going to do, but that is basically get rid of the cast heavy side of the class. I want fistweaving to be our niche, and our specialty. I want them to remove enveloping mists, make chi harmony stronger/baseline, bring back essence font for it's unique uses, dump chi burst into a flaming dumpster, and dump jadefire stomp. No more ground tethers. Other thing I'd ask for is mystic touch to be made into a buff that is universally useful. If shamans can have a mastery/autoattack buff that everyone gets at least some use out of, there's no reason for mystic touch to really exist in its current form. I'd turn essence font into something that drops out a hot on multiple targets and doesn't have a channel involved.
ever since i picked up mw monk at the beginning of dargonflight. after not playing since the end of BFA. i can say mw monk has given that fire i had when i played before. although with these changes and how shitty we are performing it really sucks to see when im dead last in my raid group for healing and still manage to "parse well" . But i absolutely love how fun this spec is and i dont want to give up on it. so im at least hopeful something will change. YOU ARE NOT ALONE in this i guess this is our repentance for season 3 and 4 of DF but still evoker is a legitimate problem
Thank you for summarising all what I felt about monk while playing it in raid, all my frustrations even if some of it you really detailed more than I even knew it. I really hope someone will see this and something will change. I just recently swapped off pool of mists and dancing mist and it feels so sad that playing well and having lots of rems out is bad. Pressing yulon feels sad, it feels so much more effort than what some specs do and it just doesnt do healing anymore.
The square root change for renewing mist was rhetorical worst thing they did to the spec. I get that it was unbalanced between raid and m+ but then just balance them independently or let the square root scaling ignore the last 5 applied renewing mists or something like that
Holy shit never seen a video that hits the nail on the head more! So sad because it’s by far the most fun healer to play. I won’t be switching because I love the spec, just sad
I main MW. not mythic raiding, just heroic and pushing keys. I have a pres evoker....that at 590 ilvl was out healing my 615ish MW with 3 buttons. Feelsbad.

Can confirm, play other healers too. Several now I can roll my face across my keyboard and land on 3 buttons to outheal major cooldowns on the mistweaver. It's way too high of an apm for what it brings. I would rather they have removed enveloping mist, made chi harmony stronger, and put essence font back in personally.
MW is so much fun, but I can agree MW is the weakest link in PvE. Experiment with Master of Harmony. I get 3 mini ramps with thunder focus tea at 100% vitality stored in between Yulon to ramp. It feels awesome in terms of good sustainable throughout but bad when you need another big raid CD to get through a boss mechanic.
okay i know it was a nerf removeing cluded focus but it being removed is the reson i roled back to mw over evoker this expation was probly a mistake at this point but man i do love how mw plays (also like evoker) but man i feel so puniched for picking the thingi find fun to play
Literally sound like you're describing how I felt in all of Amirdrassil (as a pres). I wish Flameshaper was nerfed mid RWF because Chronowarden is far funner
What's with the Devs hatred towards Monk?? I feel like whenever this class sticks out a little bit on the ladder, the devs immediately nerfed them to the ground.
well to be fair it was the undisputed king of amirdrassil the whole season. But that was also bad, it should have been nerfed more earlier, and other specs should have been buffed more earlier also.
Well, we got a good balance expansion on dragonflight, now we are back to the old shitty mw on all worldsoul saga surely. It's our fault for being 5% better than a disc priest on Amirdrassil i guess.
We weren't bad on vault xd, numbers was just ok, on aberrus we were pretty strong but not in meta, and amirdrassil, that was our best patch being on meta

Doesn't revival also have square root scaling and rewind doesn't.
Chi burst doing more healing than revival hits hard, also yulons whisper is so bad.

@sourieren We were truly only good in amidrassil. Vault we were bad and we were decent to ok in aberrus
