Great oiling tutorial! Also Dyslexic Genius Brett Hurt mentioned. (Also the skipping on your machine might be happening because the half-nut that engages with the guide rod may be too tight on the carriage, it creates a lot of tension and makes it harder for the stylus to stay in the groove.)
Just looking at the patina of the machine' taking in account' change of seasons/ humidity/sound quality of the cone etc. New York'maybe the Scarsdale area or around about a 50 mile radius from there? Not sure but that's what my eyes and ears are seeing and hearing.

Thanks, I also oiled the spinning gears under the grill, but I didn’t really notice a change from that
