    This is amazing. I am studying biomedical science and systems biology was on one of the slides which briefly touched upon this

      @@systemsbiology thank you so much for this! gave a nice summary on the potentials of systems biology and models. i'm actually doing a phd on this! :)

      You guys may both really like this video I made, "heartbeats & blood flow". I got emergent behaviour from a simulation! Stop by my lab and say hi!

    It's good to think big BUT: Is there a software that can predict the shape of one protein based on its amino acid sequence?

    • @systemsbiology
      @systemsbiology  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there are methods for doing that. I'll check if there is a recommendable software available. However, the problem of structure prediction from primary sequences belongs to the most challenging tasks. You can assume that any tool has to work with some kind of a heuristic. Otherwise, it is not feasible.

      Maybe you can have a look at the SBML software guide at sbml.org/SBML_Software_Guide.

      thanks for giving me answer
      actually my work is different
      my work is nickel nitrate effects on brain enzymes, lipids and protein of albino rats.
      i want find the interaction between nickel and brain lipids
      how to attach the nickel with brain lipids of albino rats and which part of the brain lipid
      how to attach the nickel with brain enzymes of albino rats and which part of the brain enzymes
      as well as total proteins

      Maybe it could be helpful to post your question in forums such as sbml-discuss@googlegroups.com or sysbio@caltech.edu.

    "A metabolic network becomes a model when we add mathematical equations describing the network behavior that allows us to run computer simulations." I say that about sums it up. The fact of the matter is you cannot look at it as if we are computers, that is too rudimentary. You have to grasp this as a whole and look at the grander image. Computers(AI) are just a primitive version of us. Fast forward time 1000 or even 10,000 years (if our existence survives this long) from now and you will start to understand. Yes, our one and true powerful God, Source, I am, One True Light. this is true omnipotent. To be able to construct our universe and us at a quantum level. To allow evolution and everything else that follows program at a quantum mathematical level is astounding. I do believe a lot, if not all of the old religious and mythological stories from our religious text of the world. This is God's way of communicating with us I believe. Also speaking through fellow man and women. God cares about us if he did not, he would not have sent his son to die for us. There were many gifts he has sent to us, some which we did not receive righteously, some we have over time. These gifts will never cease. I remember a session I had and one of the questions that was asked went as followed. "If there was one word to describe God, what would it be?" The person spoke with a smile, "Love." You see God loves us and we will always be apart of him so do not forget this and pray to him and thank him for this and let him know you understand. He loves everyone and everything because he is apart of us all. God Bless you and have a nice day!
