    Love the videos! Got my Callsign yesterday ZS6GTW, South Africa. Also made my first contact as a ham with CW 😁

    Incredible breakdown of this tool. Tools like this really help make sense of the mystery of propagation. And yet, there will always be the magic of making an unexpected contact and the disappointment of not getting through when everything seems to point towards a successful path where you're trying to reach. Keeps it exciting.

    You never fail to educate and this one is at the top for me. Love the content, presentation method and your laymans approach! I've watched it 3 times now!

    I love my EFHW Antenna to death. It got me around the World. Great job Adam, both of you did. Hayxen and you. Respect... 👍👍👍

    Damn, I missed the stream. I can't tell you how stoked I was when I made my first contacts in Australia and Japan from my place in Connecticut, USA. Crappy weather today but looking forward to getting back on air for more contacts using the resource you shared. Thanks!

    This was great! I was just looking at this software this week, and while I figured most of it out, this was better presented than most videos I came across (and the ui has changed a bit since those were made). Thanks so much for making this!
    Question: what other online data/services do you use when planning?

    • @K6ARK
      @K6ARK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For propagation prediction, this is my primary source of data. Solar weather data (A index and K index) can be helpful too, but I don't make go/no-go decisions based on whether or not I think the bands will be good. It's a good challenge to operate in tough conditions, and sometimes the raw numbers don't paint the whole picture and propagation can actually be quite good despite them. If you come across any others that you find useful, please share.

    What antenna would you choose for a EFHW? for 20M maybe choose the 10M Dipole option Because it's 33ft? or just choose the 20M dipole option?

    Great video, Adam. You said you were running 100 W and I was wondering what kind of power source you used. 73 de PY4NF

      I typically use a Bioenno 12 Ah battery when I'm running 100w out portable. Great battery!

    Does this program take into account a magnetic loop?

    • @rttakezo2000
      @rttakezo2000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does not include magnetic loops in it's antennas options; however, like the question addressed during the stream, a STL would have a radiation pattern similar to a dipole.
