Agosto 2012, Roma Tornavo da Lisbona dopo una vacanza con amici, non particolarmente entusiasmante. All'aeroporto di Fiumicino, prendemmo il primo Taxi che vedemmo disponibile. L'autista si chiamava Cesare, nome spiccatamente e storicamente romano, così come il suo accento e il suo gergo, che immediatamente ci catapultarono dentro i meandri segreti di quella città. Mentre scambiavamo quattro chiacchiere allegre e interessate con lui, alla radio, già accesa dal momento in cui salimmo in macchina, iniziò questa meravigliosa canzone. Conoscevo già Lene Marlin e me ne innamorai quando avevo 14 anni, nell'ormai lontano luglio 2007. Mi stupì e mi meravigliai del fatto di averla sentita in radio, perché non mi era mai capitato. Volsi lo sguardo all'esterno mentre raggiungevamo la stazione Termini per prendere il treno che ci avrebbe riportati a casa, a Napoli. E da quel momento iniziai un viaggio, che ebbe una durata molto più lunga di quello che intrapresi con i miei amici di allora in Portogallo. Non so dove andai con la mente, forse in qualche remota città o paese o addirittura mondo alternativo in cui avrei potuto incontrarla, abbracciarla e perché no parlarle. Lì capii in qualche modo, che cosa potesse significare Amare qualcuno solo perché l'hai sentita cantare. La sua voce così dolce, i suoi testi così semplici, ma anche pieni di vita mi facevano immergere totalmente nella sua vita e farmi dimenticare per un attimo della mia. E' sempre stato così quando ascoltavo i suoi testi. Allora fu veramente speciale. Quando ascolto questa canzone io ricordo di quella vacanza e soprattutto di quel momento così magico e spensierato.
I really love this song, because this is my absolute favorite song from Lene Marlin, and she has the most beautiful voice i've ever heard from a Norwegian artist. So i'm really proud of being a Norwegian when i hear Lene Marlin's voice and her beautiful songs.

Ich hörte Radio SAW, und die spielten das Lied. Ich fand das sofort super, hatte aber die Interpretin nicht mitbekommen und rief beim Sender an. Schade, dass immer nur die alte Leier von "sitting down here" gespielt wird.
