I did my first corporate event, over 4,000 balloons. It had to be installed in an hour. And for me not to come back for pick up or breakdown. All decorations were free standing or hanging on existing hooks. The mistake I made was thinking that the five 8ft Xmas trees would keep its shape in all the move and with no stand for support. They looked awful 😢 but the client was so happy. But I still can’t let go of my mistakes. Your video help me realize we are human and we will make mistakes. I appreciate you tremendously. Thank for sharing.
@@YesEventDecor No the installation in 1 hour with my 2 daughters and a 26 foot uhaul. It took me 15Hrs to blow and make everything. The wreaths and small garlands where made with 5 inch balloons. I blew 3,500 and my daughters blew 500. I could not feel my fingers for 3 days.
Very pretty. I love the snowflake accent balloons. For my easel garlands, I place the sign after I’ve made good progress, remove it and then put it back when the garland is done. I minimize late night pickups. When I don’t, I charge additional fees and don’t schedule anything early the next day.
Thank you! Yes, that’s available in my “Building Your Inventory” online course. Here’s the link - yeseventdecorandmore.retrieve.com/store/#/starting-your-business/building-your-inventory-overview-and-strategy.
For me, it depends on the distance. A couple weeks ago I had an event an hour away with a 12a pickup time. I almost did not take the event but she was referred by a close friend and had lost her dad right before her birthday so I was like you know what, I got you! She was having a 80s/90s themed 40th party and invited me to stay for it, so it worked out lol I got work and play in one trip. But it depends on the distance for sure. If it's within 30min, I usually don't mind late pickup bc thankfully I have a great support for my toddler son and will not have to pick him up until the next morning/afternoon. I am, however going to decide what my fees will be for after hours pickup. As for the easel, I think one time i used glue dots on the back of the poster so it would stay attached to the balloons and not fall forward.
So pretty!!! I had a small event on December 10th....I wasn't able to stay (it was for my daughter) I was worn out!!! I asked a couple of her friends to load up and take to her house. If the venue won't allow pickup later, I will use things that can be kept or discarded. Also, I leave containers and so far I have been able to pick up at client or I've been decorator and guest. That's a great idea to charge a fee for specific times. I am learning so much from you, thank you from sharing. I am lost on balloon garlands so I will contract out for now. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Most times when the event ends at a late night I’ve been able to come back and pick up in the morning. Or if your event ends at one or 12 and they’re at least an hour ahead and break it down I have an experience having an event the next day I can imagine that must be hard.❤❤
That’s a great question! I actually put the lights in between since this curtain has two layers. If it’s only one layer, I put them in the back. Here’s another video on that - th-cam.com/video/gUFb5DZwEZI/w-d-xo.html. Thanks!
Love the setup🤍 I stopped offering rentals mainly because of pickups and the headache of it all. However, depending on the distance and time I may reconsider. I now try to suggest a local vendor in the area who has gorgeous backdrops so I don’t have to worry about pickups lol

Yeah I’m going to try it again next week (decorating an easel with balloons). Hopefully it works out better this time ☺️
I love your videos, have you posted previously your favorite balloons to use?
Thank you! Yes, that’s available in my “Building Your Inventory” online course. Here’s the link - yeseventdecorandmore.retrieve.com/store/#/starting-your-business/building-your-inventory-overview-and-strategy.

Thank you for that tip! I’ll try that with my easel next time.

Yeah, some of these venues are so booked, you can’t come pick up the next day. We’ll see….Happy holidays to you!!! 🎄
Love it! You did an amazing job. Love watching all your videos. I have a question the lights go in front or back of the curtains? Thank you

Lol! Yes, pickups can be a headache ☺️
I thought it was just me when it comes to those stands. It is hard to place balloons around...so I'm looking forward to a tutorial video 😆
Nope! It’s not just you! I definitely need to practice ☺️.
What do you use to attach the balloons to the top of the stand? Thank you 😊
260 balloons
Soooooo prettyyyyyy❤️🥰👍😊🙌🏽🤗 great job as usual, Lonielle!!
Hey lady! Thank you so much!
Do you always start with the biggest balloon?
How did you like the UHaul bags?
I liked the bags! Next time I’ll try out the Queen size.
Beautiful as always……….sooooo hold up a minute, did I miss a video or picture of your Christmas tree? It looks beautiful what I can see
That’s sooo funny that you say that! I’m working on the video for my Christmas tree! I just decorated it on Tuesday! 🤦🏽♀️
Where do you purchase those balloon bags from?
they're mattress bags from the UHaul store. She used twin size, I typically use king.
Thank you! Yes, I used the UHaul mattress bags. I used the twin size ones in this video.
Is this a 10 ft polyester drape?
It’s 10ft tall, yes. The link is in the description.
How to put fairy lights on a backdrop
Here’s the video on that - th-cam.com/video/gUFb5DZwEZI/w-d-xo.html. Thanks!
❤❤❤ BEAUTIFUL WORK!!! just need a cup of Hot Chocolate lol Thanks
I’m about to make some hot chocolate now! ☺️
You so sweet. Thanks
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you! ☺️
The extra fee that I charge for late night pickups covers my hotel room close to the venue.
That is SUCH a great idea!!!! As long as I feel safe in the area…thank you! 👏🏽👏🏽
I had the same situation! Not to long ago party ended at 1:00 and I had a brunch then next day 🥲🥲.
I know you were tired!!!
