- Giving Dilo a another try after almost a year after of its release now that the hallucinations work more consistently. I've only played Dilo once when it was on testing branch and didn't even make to full adult (here's the video).

One tip for vs Stego. If they're protecting something like that, you have less of a chance of him taking a swing at you when you go in for what he's protecting, because he won't want to swing in the direction of what he's protecting. Just remember, it's the Isle, people will sacrifice you for nothing, so he might just swing to kill you regardless of collateral. But most of the time I find that they're too afraid to swing around stuff they're protecting when it's cuddled up to it's teet like a newborn baby rat.

Youre calling the dibble a camper? He was out in the open, and the 3 of you barely baited out 1 alt attack, and couldnt even get a bite on them. He played that super well. saved all stam, and you let him walk to the cliff, which is exactly what dibbles are designed to do. Are they just supposed to stand in the open and die to 3+ pack carnis that cant even land a venom proc
Well said. Some Isle TH-camrs are so used to constantly rolling over scrubs with their little discord friends that you can tell they really do struggle against people who know what they are doing, especially competent solo players.

You people are really overthinking this, huh... It's just a term people use for players who use environmental advantage making larger dinos practically invincible and it's not worth losing my life over unless they go there with low hp as a last resort

Dilo could be such an amazing dino to play and have fun with if every update didn’t break clones making them bugged 8 out of 10 fights. ☹️

I believe the hallucinations did immediately damage the Omni because it was out running them and they just needed to catch up to do damage
Sometimes halucinations are bugged and just dont spawning this is probably why omni didnt get dmg
Aren't they faster than omni? Dilo is faster it's clearly visible in that video
I didn't hear the damage sound and against me they just spawn on top of me and insta-bite

Rain is polish the isle youtuber maybe he will upload his perspective if he was recording and nice video man. I think I the most played dilo (at least on official servers and petits piets maybe too) since i started playing in the isle (that was at end of december so nearly a year ago) and he was my second dino after herrera

The Hallus didnt hurt the Omni in the beginning bc he was outrunning them. They are quite slow.

Not fighting 3 dilos on an open field to survive (which would result in the diablo dying almost every time) = camper

My only complaint about dilo is that the hallucinations can do damage to you. I suppose you could believe them to be just the effects of the venom doing the real damage. However, if it's merely supposed to be a "figment", it seems lame to have them do damage, imo.

Getting really tired of the corps clean up on this server. Specially after fighting and winning a fight against a cera.
Many times i am trying to recover from vomit then the corpse is just gone. 😢

I dislike the dilos mechanics very much. There should be no imaginary hallucination doing damage when they attack.
I agree. It's very cheap. Needs to be illusions with NO damage. Dilo should always have to risk itself if it wants to damage. Such a cheese way to hunt. Bite a few times n hide behind clones.... lame
It's creative way to make old venom mechanic. Just being bitten and got some damage per time is so boring. And you talking about troo tactic actually. I love dilos unique and fun style. And I'm not even dilo's main.
@@eg-draw the problem with all that is this; it is a hallucinations. They are not real. Real things can't hurt you. That just doesn't seem like "realism" to me. But maybe I'm not in this games demographic anymore.
@@sanctusadam410 I mean it does have to risk itself. Similar to how omni has a honestly quite low health pool, dilo has a very low blood pool, any bleed dmg will kill it in literally less than 60 seconds if its sprinting. If real dilos dont keep biting you the venom wears off in 60 seconds, which is enough time for about 4-7 hallucination bites assuming they all hit you.
Next time you fight a dilo, just trade hits, dont try to predict or chase, just bite it on reaction when it bites you and trade dmg, you will literally always win the trade. If you do that the only way you can really lose is if there are multiple dilos hunting you, in which case you will likely still kill at least 1-2 or more depending on what you're playing.
A great example is literally in this video, the diablo at 10:30 does exactly this and waits until doqi is already biting him before he alt attacks.
@dinohunter321 all good except zero other dinos can summon minions. That is all I am saying.
