This child is total joy. Made my day to watch their face he is adorable. I made a droid also this summer and I am obsessed with it. I loved my experience and it shows that he did too.

That's so cute. I really don't think 100.00 is too bad especially when you add in the experience. I'm taking my little guy in May and he keeps taking about wanting to build a robot. Lol
Absolutely do it. If he's asking, he will love it. It isn't hard, he will feel accomplished, and you will have the memories. ;) ITS A WIN-WIN. :)

my brother almost got on but they are so expensive and we cant aford one.
It was a special occasion and I saved money for it :) The r2d2 he built he had a bake sale and sold out of everything! He needed to make 100 and he made 115! :) can you guys hold a bake sale? or lemonade stand? or plan another way to raise the money? :) Disneyland is VERY expensive! But it's more about the memories than the price..:)

My son was SO EXACTLY like this, he would have loved this when he was little 😊
He still talks about it DAILY, and is planning to build another droid VERY soon ;) It was quite fun! I think it's a VERY SMART idea, all of the components and all ;)

The motor inside helps stabilize it. And the magnets on top keep its head attached. Unless it crashes into something.

oh how i wish! It only takes batteries! A TON OF THEM! But I think it's all about the 'making of it' that is so appealing. Especially to a kid whose materials to make stuff is usually limited to paper, tape, clay and wax ;) PLUS, it really is AWESOME to watch him roll around with his head remaining 'on top' so to speak...
