Joe Arridy's story is the saddest I've ever heard, and perhaps the greatest representation of people being treated unfairly, being taken advantage of because they were unable to defend themselves.

The simple fact that pretty much everyone KNEW he was innocent and STILL chose to execute him! People can be so heartless and have a hard time admitting what they did was wrong. That poor man. This story hurts my heart.

Also I have no problems with your skin color but it seems like people will clump all whites together. This is sickening and disturbing on many levels.

While I do support police It can not be over looked that Police truly have no governing force as since they are suppose to be "The symbol of peace" to the civilian undermining them or proving them at fault or even worse criminal tanishs their image, and their position of power so they are not held to the same standard a civilian is which is a problem police incompetence, or worse malicious acts are what allow things like this to happen and can not be tolerated, or justified.
Meanwhile we have guilty people bombing countries, kidnapping and trafficking kids, and pushing drugs/experimental "medicine" on populations while they live in multiple mansions laughing about it.
I literally bursted out in tears because his death will never be forgotten and for you to tell his whole story warms my heart to know someone still remembers him so♥️♥️

As someone who suffers with this more as a child and got more high functioning as I grew up. But still never really goes away. I can tell you this was literally an innocent, clueless, Autistic person they murdered for no reason. So many times I don't fully understand or comprehend things when I'm having episodes. And get very upset or intimidated and feel very vulnerable when others are confrontational. And just want it to stop. That's literally what he was going through. This is def one of those things that makes me lose faith in the world.

Yeah this REALLY came to light a couple decades ago with Day care workers. Long story short A LOT of daycare workers were convicted of innapropriately touching and harming children. But the thing is pretty much all of those confessions were done when the police basically interrogated the children themselves. It was discovered much later the children had only accused those workers of harming them because they were just giving the answer they thought the police wanted. Even so most of the workers affected did not get their lives back and couldn't work with children again. As a result it's not much more difficult to get valid testimonies from children as you also need to prove the child wasn't pressured into giving a specific response.
@@orangecat9559 Yeah that's why if you've ever seen a depiction on TV of children being questioned they do things like say "Can you show me on the doll where they hit/touched you?" The goal is to get a detailed response without implying to the child what response the cops are seeking so they'll give an honest testimony of what they think. But in the past they used to just question them more like adults but gentler. Even if the cops are trying to get a real testimony a child may change their response based on what they think the adults questioning them want to hear.

The silver lining in all this is that he probably experienced more love inside prison than outside. It's a shame what a cruel society we live in, but at least he was able to experience being loved before he left this world

This broke me, I can't describe the sadness in words. As someone who has mental health problems myself and a brother to someone who has them too, I cannot begin to imagine the pain his family,the warden and many others felt upon his death, I pray to God and as someone who does pray to God often this never happens again
Technically, they are. BUT that doesn't mean they have to be forever. Guilty or innocent, all people change and society needs to learn to understand its not all cut and dry. Bad things happen but that doesn't mean they are always bad people

This honestly made me tear up. I have a brother who is just fifteen months younger than me with autism and a learning delay. He's got the brain of a 10-12 year old and LOVES legos. I can't imagine something like this happening to him.

The warden/executioner is reported to having teared while putting the lethal pellets and having wept while Joe was dying in the gas chamber. He treated Joe well, even gifting him a toy train. We're NOT talking about people who are sensitive, as you said. I even believed he said 'The man dying today is six years old'. Long story short, his executioner treated him better than the system who was supposed to protect him. This case is an absolute disgrace to the justice system.
Just like the video said, they wanted to win. Releasing Joe would be like admitting they did something wrong, and their fragile ego won't allow them to admit that. So they push on with his execution, it's like someone pretending to sleep won't wake up no matter how hard you try to wake them up.

The goal is to get a detailed response without implying to the child what response the cops are seeking so they'll give an honest testimony of what they think. But in the past they used to just question them more like adults but gentler.
Even if the cops are trying to get a real testimony a child may change their response based on what they think the adults questioning them want to hear.

What I mean, kids in early age are very very honest, but also very sensitive like they get offended very easily, get mad easily over something very simple, it won't even surprise me if some kids exagerated their story. The silver lining in all this is that he probably experienced more love inside prison than outside. It's a shame what a cruel society we live in, but at least he was able to experience being loved before he left this world

This broke me, I can't describe the sadness in words. As someone who has mental health problems myself and a brother to someone who has them too, I cannot begin to imagine the pain his family,the warden and many others felt upon his death, I pray to God and as someone who does pray to God often this never happens again

Situations like these has happened to so many people unfortunately. However, This one hits in a whole different level.
On all levels authorities are often focussing in finding someone to put the blame on. This culture goes all the way to children schools.

The warden/executioner is reported to having teared while putting the lethal pellets and having wept while Joe was dying in the gas chamber. He treated Joe well, even gifting him a toy train. We're NOT talking about people who are sensitive, as you said.
I even believed he said 'The man dying today is six years old'. Long story short, his executioner treated him better than the system who was supposed to protect him. This case is an absolute disgrace to the justice system.
