I took a screenshot and translated the Akva-kolor colours:
    •Lemon yellow
    •Yellow
    •Yellow deep
    •Bright ocher
    •Orange
    •Iron oxide orange
    •Pink/Rose
    •Red
    •Iron oxide red
    •Carmine red
    •Madder lake red
    •Bordeaux red
    •Pinkish violet
    •Violet
    •Ultramarine
    •Prussian blue
    •Light blue
    •Turquoise
    •Emerald green
    •Bright/light green
    •Yellow green
    •Green
    •Sepia
    •Black
I could also translate pigment information with a better quality image (that thing your tablet translated as "art" behind "watercolour paints" actually meant "artist grade watercolour paints").
    I hope it helps!♡

Hi Arleebean, I'm ukrainian and speak Russian, sonet are student grade. They use dextrin instead of gum Arabic +have more other filler + use cheaper pigment and multipigment colours (ex multipigmented ochra instead of single pigment )
If this clears things up basically sonet is student grade line, ladoga is a artist grade line and White night are professional grade line.

I have never considered Sonnet and White Nights as brands. For me the brand is "Nevskaya Palitra" which translates as Palette of Neva(river) or "Neva's palette" and it makes lots of colours at various prices and quality. I am not Russian, but I understand Russian enough because I am Estonian (neighbour to russia). I remember using Nevskaya Palitra watercolors 32y ago in school and then Sonnet was considered student colors and White Nights was considered pro or master colors and Leningrad (now St Petersburg) was considered beginner colors. Three days ago I found 30y old unopened package of Leningrad watercolors in my summerhouse. They were quite dry and some colors even rejected water. I had to wash those in sink under warm water and scrub outer "skin" off, and then they worked normally. As I am not professional painter I can't say if those are great or bad, but I am quite satisfied with them, except with Neutral Black color which is nothing near black, I am able to get only light gray from it. I guess this is because it is dried out and 30y ago it was probably able to make darker colors.
    Great review by the way.

Почему на русскоязычном Ютубе нет такого полезного видео? Не смогла найти что-либо качественное и бросила поиски обзоров на эти две марки красок. И мое удивление, когда я наткнулась на это 😳😳
I'm so happy to fortune upon this video in my recommendation. I couldn't find a qualitative watercolor overview on the russian youtube, so it was really surprising to see it from a foreign artist. Thank you so much ❤️✨✨

I really enjoyed this side-by-side comparison! Thank you! It seems I like both sets for different reasons. I do a lot of layering myself and I adore the slight unpredictable magic of building up layers. In that regard, I enjoyed the Aqua set. But Sonnet had the bold colors for sure. I am a mixed media artist and I often disregard lightfastness as the breakdown of the colors becomes part of my interest...like a quick antiquing. Anyway, thank you again!

I recently bought Sonnet colour set of 21 colours from Moscow. I'm getting used to them. I admit I don't have very good paper but they work very well.
I'd like to add that my set box is yellow, little heavy but able to be carried anywhere and has as enough mixing slots/area as others.
Pretty good set with affordable price.

Aqua-Color LLC produces a cuvette watercolor in sets of 12.24 and 36 colors. Watercolor made on high quality raw materials. It is distinguished by good spacing, transparency and clarity of tone.
Professional watercolor paints "Petersburg Classic" are fine suspensions of light-resistant pigments and fillers in a binder, consisting of an aqueous solution of gum arabic with additives of bovine bile and preservatives. The high quality of our watercolor will satisfy both professional artists and those who take the first steps in painting.
The paint cups are wrapped in foil and wrapped with a paper label indicating the color.
    *** - light resistant paint
** - medium light resistant paints
    * - low-light paint
Shelf life is not limited. I liked working with this watercolor, the fullness of the cuvette is small, but this does not mean that the paint was not refilled, shrinkage occurred, no more) This watercolor is considered professional, unlike Sonnet, however I like to work with both these companies)
    Lemon (Hanza pigment yellow)
    Yellow (yellow lightfast pigment)
Yellow dark (pigment yellow light resistant RN)
    Ocher light (pigment Ocher light)
    Orange (orange varnish)
    Orange Oxide
    Pink (magenta pigment)
    Red (red varnish)
    Red iron oxide
    Carmine (permanent red pigment)
    Kraplak (kraplak red light)
    Bordeaux (Bordeaux pigment)
    Violet-pink (varnish basic red 4C)
    Purple (pigment purple)
    Ultramarine
    Iron blue
    Blue (pigment blue FC)
Turquoise (pigment blue FC, green O)
    Emerald green (pigment green FC)
Bright green (pigment yellow light resistant, green FC)
Yellow-green (yellow light-resistant pigment, blue FC)
    Green (pigment green O)
Sepia (orange iron oxide, carbon black)
    Black (soot, milori, kraplak)

The Sonnets were my first watercolors ever and the ones I started with and I still use and love them to this day. I'm probably gonna replace them with the White Nights pans when I have used them up, since they are not available open stock, sadly. But they will always have a special place in my life and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to start with watercolors and wants to test if it's for them.

Glad I finally found a decent review for the Aqua Color. I just purchased the 24 color pan online but couldn’t find much info on them til now. They’ve been sitting in my cart for weeks! Lol. I couldn’t tell if they were a branch off of White Nights (I have the 21 set by Elena Bazanov which is what piqued my interest in the Aqua Color brand) but have come to the conclusion that they’re not. I love the transparent, muted colors of this palette. I have enough palettes that are vibrant and saturated. Glad I took the leap. Am excited to paint with them. Also threw in a cheap palette from Rosa Gallery to test out the quality of their paints. With all the money I’ve spent so far on ‘student grade’ WC, I could’ve owned a vast selection of professional paints but would’ve missed the excitement and zen of swatching 😂.
Thank you for the info and for sharing your talent with us. Your work is absolutely divine ♥️✨

It depends on how they see colors,so for me phthalo blue more "goluboi" than "siniy"
And usually we call "siniy" color named on English as "dark blue"
      "Goluboi"-"blue"
I am rubbish at pigments (color) recognition

also if you see "Yarka" on your St. Petersburg paints, they're made in america with different more nontoxic pigments.
