Hey guys! I must confess, this is not the most entertaining video I have ever made. However, some stations do only see the same traffic! I am not a Content Creator that just sticks to mainlines, so think of it as channel variety 😃 Thank You!
Gospel Oak railway station is in the London Borough of Camden in north-west London. It is on the North London Line (NLL) and is also the western passenger terminus of the Gospel Oak to Barking Line - known informally as GOBLIN. Passengers using Oyster cards are required to tap on interchange Oyster card readers when changing between the two lines. The station is in Travelcard Zone 2, and is managed by London Overground which runs all passenger trains at the station.
Geoff Marshall is also as excited about the Overground extension to Barking Riverside. And the Northern Line Battersea Power Station extension. And hopefully Elizabeth Line central core should also start seeing trains being used.
Request: Redhill. Gets a good amount of trains every hour with a lot of variety including thameslink, southern, Gatwick Express and Great Western railway.
Thanks for the idea Emily! Redhill has been on my list for a visit for a while (and Gatwick Airport) but I haven't managed to get time to go. I will see if I can do this within the next few weeks 😃
I remember when class 172s were used on the gospel oak-Barking route, it was interesting that a fully diesel train operated on local commuter routes in London, anyway, very good video👍!
Interesting! It looks like the electric invasion has finally come for the commuters then, although, there aren't many of them in the Post-COVID era! Thanks😃
It’s rare for me to go to Overground stations because they’re mostly the same trains and doesn’t really make for a very entertaining video (in my opinion). Having said that, I enjoyed my time here 😃
So Gospel Oak, now operated by London Overground (formerly with British Rail when it was Class 313, three standard class coaches and slam door stock on the Gospel Oak - Barking line). Most recently, one Saturday, I travelled the full Barking - Gospel Oak route, Class 172, two car rolling stock before it was replaced, similiar to the local ones to Chingford, Enfield and Cheshunt from London Liverpool Street. Before electrification, it was slam door stock as mentioned before, like the non electrified route from London Marylebone to Aylesbury, Banbury and Birmingham. Then modern units including the Class 172, for a period of time and nowadays, it has a frequency of four trains per hour. Freight trains usually run through Gospel Oak. I saw one in Hackney, heading westwards from Stratford on the 7th of August when it was stormy.
They certainly are Rayhan. They are the, often forgotten but quietly busy, workhorses of outer London. They're also one of the fastest accelerating electric units in the UK 😃 Thanks for your comment!
I think Lockerbie is unlikely to be recorded anytime soon, more likely to be Carlisle since it also sees everything. Thanks for the suggestions though, it’s really appreciated!
Hi starlife, you make think I’m overwhelming you with places to go,but I have a Really Good One for You! Alnmouth For Alnwick,If you Go on Platform 1 I think you Can See The trains go over the Alnmouth Viaduct!
Wow, 710 & 378 London Overground central station. More great and epic footage no matter on how big or small the station is. Got a station request if that is okay? If by chance, would you be able to cover Hull if you could do please?
Absolutely Ricky! I've got a few in the North East already recorded (recently) but Hull Paragon has been on my list for a while! I will see what I can do, maybe I can join it up with a visit to Doncaster? Even if it seems like I ignore some suggestions, I only have so much time! 😃 I do have a question for you, when you filmed at Manchester Airport, did you have any issues with staff? I'm told that is a difficult one to avoid getting told off!
@@StarlifeStudios Hull Paragon is a good station, can see frequent services and hint: Nothern's Palamentry Service which runs between Scarborough and York via Hull. Yeah, I understand as it's time and place to get to places. I've had no problems at all filming at Manchester Airport. To be honest, Transpennine Express are very good and don't mind anyone filming at their stations. I did an hour's worth which is more than enough to get all the trains and notables needed.
The London Overground Class 710/3 5-Car trains should soon be in service to operate on Stratford-Richmond & Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction-Clapham Junction.
Nice one again mate. I used to be based in Barron’s Court so would hop over to various Overground stations on my way about the city. You thinking of popping anywhere further West soon?
Interesting! I suppose these trains were just a common sight for you then. I was hoping to visit Bristol at some point this coming week but the remodelling works look to be ongoing for a while.
There are plently of two platform stations which get traffic, Chelmsford for example. I also plan to return to a lot of the stations I have visited in the past. Thanks Bob 😃
Hi Joel, I use a mixture of websites and subscription services to work it all out. Real-time trains (Google it) is by far the most important. As you can imagine, some stations are easier than others 😃 Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind comments!

No problem
I would recommend Attenborough in Nottinghamshire, lots of freight and passenger trains.
Nice video!
Thanks David 😃 I don’t visit Overground very often.
You should go to Newark Northgate and Virginia Water
1:33 what is the point of that little switch track in the bottom right that leads off the rails?
Great video mate 👍🏻 shows the importance of this Junction for London Overground
Glad you enjoyed it Ben. Hopefully next time I go to the North London line, there is some freight!

I support Your Answer,I completely Understand What you mean,I would Appreciate Carlisle as there is loads of Action!
Request: Clapham Junction as you get a mixture of South West train, Southern, London Overground and Gatwick Express but there is a lot!
Great video mate. But no freight trains at Gospel Oak which is very sad not to see only one.
There were several planned but they were all cancelled 😞 I hope to return to the North London Line soon and with freight 😃 Thanks as always Arnold!

Interesting. Those 710s really need a redo IMO. Seats are horrible. 720s are a big step in the right direction.
Well that's what Alstom/Bombardier have built and manufactured the Class 710 with longitude seats.
@@Andrewjg_89 yeah but the seat comfort is trash
What more can you expect from when you ride on new trains. You always will find seats either horrible or not horrible.
