Wow Kristina, I'm starting to grow plants indoors. My experience is as an outdoor gardener. I'm learning so much from you. I wish you lots of continued success 🙌
I'm so happy it all went so well. The nodes are really tough to see, I agree. I always play it safe like this and just cut bigger chunks 😅 better safe then sorry!
Thanks :) The plant should be a Huperzia numularifolia as far as I could find out. But definetly Huperzia. They are sometimes called cub moss or lycopodium too.
Go for it 😉! After cutting the Queen I also got into a rush & cut my Anthurium Pallidiflorum 😁. These cuttings also did great. They weren't airlayered before but it still worked well. I'm glad you are here to stay, Annie. Welcome & Greetings from Germany 💚
I did the cutting on this plant. The two cuttings had roots, then I put them on moss and some dirt. Then placed them under a grow ligth, but did not cover them in plastic. Well, after 3 weeks, they were dead. I was so sad and wonder what did I do wrong. I love my anthurium queen 😢😢
Hi TJ, that's exciting, it's an awesome plant. I usually try to keep the humidity around 50%. Recently I haven't had it on at all so it's more like 30-50% depending on the weather. It works fine, but whenever there is a new leaf coming in, it might be beneficial to bump it up again.
Thank you & welcome, I'm glad you enjoy it here 😊. How exciting, I don't know what your conditions are or where you live but I think the only tip I can give is to leave it alone for a while after picking it up. It seems the plant can easily be stressed which will result in crispy or yellowing leaves. Since picking it up from the Pop up is already a lot, not moving it around a lot after you decided where to keep it, should help. I wouldn't worry to much about that though, even if it loses some leaves, new leaves will be even better. Oh and I find my anthurium really enjoy some extra sphag around the stem, to root into (regardless if you want to prop or not). Of course high humidity in a well ventilated space is optimal, if you can offer that. Greetings from germany 🖐
Cool, the plant will definetly love the sphagnum. If you want to keep it in there long term that works too. Only downside is, you would need to fertilize it regularly. The soil I have mine in is ca. 30% storebought potting soil, 30% Orchid bark, 30% Perlite, and 10% Worm castings. Something along those lines. Anthuriums in general like a lot of airflow so the soil shouldn't be too compact. I sometiimes cut som holes into the sides of the nursery pot to raise airflow even more. It's basically the same mix i use for all my plants, nothing special for the Queen. 😁
1 Year update on these Anthurium props is now up: th-cam.com/video/JRMyChbXVEk/w-d-xo.html

I agree, all lined up together they look really amazing 😍
They look beautiful! Glad the prop was a success. I always struggle to find the nodes and auxilliary buds on anthurium 😢

Best vid ever
Hey, what is the name of the hanging vine in the background at 0:58 ?
Your video are top notch. Keep up the great work!

@@LeafyLuster thanks :)
Great results! Very well done 👏 ❤️
Thank you! 😊 I was so relieved that all of my little props have survived too! Couldn't have wished for a better outcome.
OMG! I want to cut all mine anthuriums now 😅 Hi, new subscriber here

I think you inspired me to get one. How high do you have to set the humidifier for queens?

Glad they turned out very healthy and successful 😍😍
Me too, I was actually suprised it went that well 😅
Great video, new subscriber here 👋. I plan on picking up one at a pop up event next month. Any acclimating tips?

I don’t have any off cuttings, but what’s the best soil for queen anthuriums to grow in? I recently put mine in 100% sphagnum moss

What’s on them now? Do a video update! ❤
Update video is coming this sunday hopefully, the pups are doing ok, the big Top cutting just unfurled a new leaf 🥳.
I like Vidio
Thank you :)
Would you sell any of these pups?
If you'd happen to live in Germany, sure :D
