    Their wax is bloody amazing. It lasts bloody ages (9 months so far!) and survives many contact washes (lost count), and I'll probably be dead before I need another tin you need to use so little (well, I am 71 .. 😜). And it buffs so effortlessly!
    Only used both Glaco products briefly (on a door window from which I'd had to compound out some serious scratches from), and they restored the glass surface to better than new. Very happy.

    Excellent video. Been using Soft99 for years and still love it. I don’t miss the “I’m about to pass out” carriers for the wax, though. It was really bad. It’s an amazing winter protection for all vehicles. You CAN use most any topper on top of this wax without problems … but it does change the characteristics of what Soft99 does best. I would also recommend just leaving it alone. Worst case scenario, just reapply it as needed. And YES you absolutely do NOT want to apply this wax heavy, it will be a nightmare to buff off (and a waste of product). I typically get 20-30 vehicles per can.

    Just used fusso coat for the first time (last week). Car got filthy during the week and only took a quick jet wash to look immaculate again.
    Also used the roll on window stuff. That took a bit of practice to get right without leaving streaks. Buffing off isn’t as easy as people say on all these videos! But, now I have the process right I’ve found it is amazing.
    In terms of value for money I think it’s pretty much unbeatable. If fusso coat really does last more than a few months the tin will last years.

    I bought Fusso Coat and Ultra Glaco last year (I think it was because of one of your reviews) and I'm honestly so impressed with them.
    The Glaco has endured close to 4000 I think now from a single coating application as well as the Fusso Coat and it shows no signs of really giving up at all. I also really love how far Fusso goes with its very sparing applications too.

  • @jackcoxsmith

    Just used Glaco for the first time and I’m super impressed with it. I’ve actually just picked up Fusso F7, it’s a liquid version of the paste wax. Says the amount of time it lasts isn’t white as much but it was outrageously easy too apply. Id love to see you do a test between the original and the liquid F7

    I just found out about this product. I used to detail cars back in the 90’s, and am now done with carnauba wax. It was insane just in the application of this product. I live in the north east in the US so I don’t think I will get a full 12 months with our harsh winters but after curing this weekend we got some rain and the hydrophobic properties of this wax is amazing. I’m sold on this product so far. And going to be using this on my service van will help out since it is a white van and gets filthy and yellowing from contaminants. Great channel newly subscribed!

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      see if you can get the old fusso coat because that really could get close to 12 months. In europe I think they had to change the formula but I think the USA is less strict.

    Soft 99 Fusso is next level stuff. I only started using it last year got it on sale brand new for £19.99. Best wax I've used. No way does it last 12 months like it says on the tin but it certainly outlasts any other product I've used. The shine, and slickness after application is the best I've used.

    Love any of the soft 99 products I've tried, rain drop being my favourite so far purely because of the packaging! Will have to try glaco compound after I use up my gtechniq glass polish. I've even applied fusso coat in the lashing rain without issues, still going strong months later.

    Totally agree with your advice on prep and how to use Fusso. It goes brilliantly well with BSD as well as the lighter but glossier DDsi as drying aid/rinseless or just as sacrificial layer. I do a chemical decon twice a year on both my daily and the contamination is minimal. I can easily go two years without having to clay my cars. It is that good of a barrier.

    Hi! Nice video. I had been using fusso for many many years as my no. 1 paint sealant. Now I moved to Infinity wax synergy ceramic wax. After 5 months it seems as freshly applied. It does not have that fade out effect of fusso - shine and gloss is still present. It would be nice to make comparsion of these two "survivors".

    Wow, you've really been delivering with these videos these past few weeks Jon, thanks again for the great content! Am I right in saying this is almost a sealant and wax combined? seems to have the visual enhancement of a wax with the durability of a sealant. I'd love to be able to use one product rather than two. I've also heard of people applying it to their wheels and it lasting 8+ months, crazy really!

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes you are right, fusso coat contains organic waxes as a backbone along with fluro polymers or some sort of flourine added into the wax. So really its a wax backboned with other materials, pretty much like the majority of most modern waxes thad might be mixed with silicone wax or crosslinking polymers etc etc... You could call it a sealant wax and this way you escape people going nutz at you one way of the other if you call it a "wax" or a "sealant" alone :)

    Recently started using the new Lunar wax from Veis Detailing. I’ve always used fusso,(both old and new) but the beading from this wax seems perfect after two months, where as fusso loses a lot of its beading around that point for me. My car does around 350/400 miles a week in all weathers so gets a battering. So far it’s holding up just a bit better than fusso for me! You should take a look, honestly the only wax that’s impressed me lately and I’ve bought so many to try lol!

      I did the same thing, once, but not sure I really believe in the "layering" aspect of wax/sealant application. I use King of Gloss or Kiwami in the spring/summer months and then Fusso Coat for the fall/winter. Some people use Fusso coat and then top every now and then with Sonax BSD, as they have just about the same level of hydrophobics and provides gloss.

    I wonder how chemical resistant this is, you mentioned how it keeps the car clean and reduces a build up of dirt which in turn translates to less swirls during contact washing. But if a gull takes a shine (excuse the pun) to the paintwork by evacuating its bowl, I wonder how well it would hold up to that mess compared to a ceramic finish.
    The hydrophobic properties and the sheeting of water made that part in my brain get excited 😁. This is something that's number one on my list of requirements a product needs to perform well in. I think I'll check out that older video at Autoglms lab you mentioned too 👍

    Never had a single issue with application. Just using is as a normal wax aiming for under 10grams and doing finger test. Easyly going full bonet and dorst and getting back to see if it is done. Finish is perfetct using inspection light. It did stands for motnhs
    Yes, there are better feeling waxes. Just first used a sholl vintage that I left on a bonnet for dwo days and it came out easily...
    Bang for a buck or one wax to do it all. Fusso or dsw.
    Jon. How the vintage did in longetivity test you did for PVD? Happen I have it on my car now but I barely drive it.
    You mentioned spray products of soft. Happens I have all and all are great. The best one I think is fukupika. I know the love for other ones (egg not appreciated, but luxury gloss...) but fukupika is awesome. Looks, apps, longetivity.. Just a killer.

    Really impressed with the ease of application of the Fusso. Q. On the tin it states 12 month wax. Is it really a 12 month wax ?. If so that would almost make it comparable to a Ceramic coating. Q. For a flat Red paint (No lacquer), which would be best for UV protection. The Fusso, or a Ceramic coating ?. Sorry for the questions, but my Saab in "Imola Red" is needing another mopping session and this time i want to seal it with the best product for the job. Thank you.

      I think 12 months is in ideal conditions, as in it is never going to happen. I got a little over 7 months on my car. Ceramic coating is more like 3 to 4 years, so a different level.

    • @JWL-UK

      It can last longer than 12 months if you maintain it properly. Just like coatings, Fusso can go the distance if you use a sacrificial layer/booster like Sonax BSD or Bouncer's Done and dusted si edition every 2 to 3 months. Coatings are not attractive enough for me due to the prep required, finicky application and because I like being able to do a light polish every 18 months or so to exfoliate the paint before throwing another layer of Fusso.

    I once put RainEx on a windscreen and when the wipers swept, the water beaded in minute bubbles - obscuring, not clearing the glass. It then took a lot to remove. I've never dared do it again.

    • @themikeroberts
      @themikeroberts หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have RainX windshield wiper fluid in my car right now and I think it's making the wipers smear the water. I've been waiting for it to run out and then I'll try to decontaminate it and see if the smearing goes away.

    • @Tenagor
      @Tenagor หลายเดือนก่อน

      I dared again, just a small corner of the screen on the passenger side. This is so dangerous in rain when the glass can never clear. Also, it acts like rossin on a violin string and makes the wiper noisy on each pass. However useful it may be for shower glass, house windows etc. it should never be used on the car's windshield. I've used household glass cleaner to remove it.

    Very quick detail nice video on apply fusso wax... I make mistakes on applying these wax. This video really explain clearly what to do in order to achieve best results. I have a question, do you know what is the easily method to strip the fusso wax? Do we really need to use polish to achieve that?

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      short answer is finishing polishing on a DA machine is best way to strip this. Fresh coat of fusso wont be stripped by detergent or even hydrocarbon its too durable.

    Hi Jon, a bit off topic but I’m after some help! I’m venturing into the world of machine polishing… having watched loads of your vids I’m looking at this setup. In2detailing DA8 polisher, flex orange pad with Angelwax medium cut compound. Is this a good enough setup to remove swirls and leave a nice finish. Appreciate the help, Tom

    Hello, very nice video. I really like to use fusso coat :) very nice and durable wax. But i always do only chemical decontamination (iron and tar), because im worried when i use claybar and i dont polish car after claying, it is micro-marring paintwork. It is safe to use clay with onr and then not polish car? Thanks :)

    After the 'new and improved' version of fusso I've switched to water block. Far easier to use, more hydrophobic and get more for your money. If you want the original fusso, get it from a Russian seller at JDM. But after what's going off with Ukraine, il spend my money elsewhere or stick to waterblock 👍

      only you can answer this question. you clay to remove contamination. So your question should be. How do I check a car for contmination. you need to check it. if paint feels smooth and glass like its contamination free so you dont clay.

    Used the new fusso a few times but i'm not really impressed.
    Applying and removing is not the easiest there is, the smell is horrible. It's really cheap. Water behavior was really, really good, never seen such great beads as with fusso. After a month or 4 the best was over and it rapidly started degrading, this without applying additional layers of protection over fusso, only regular washes. The thing i disliked most, was the film that remained weeks and weeks after applying fusso, never had this problem with any other LSP.
    Comparing fusso with polish angel master sealant, wich i like alot more. the most user friendly and best looking results i've had. Water behavior is a little less outstanding than fusso but still great. How long it'll last is still a question for me, it's on my car for about 1 month now and still going hard.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you should not be getting any filming.. but you will get degredation. guess after 4 months that initial bling will be dead, you could go again or, just use a fusso based topper I think. But ultimately you can try non fusso stuff. Some like Kiwammi or KOG better.

    • @SuddenDeathSyndrome
      @SuddenDeathSyndrome 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ForensicDetailing I understand it should not be leaving any film but every time i used fusso, i've had the same issue.
      The only thing i can think of, is that i've used to much product. Although i doubt it...
