12th!! 🎉 I’m here for the Andrew hype train
Hi 👋 I also like big long books too!! Sometimes I wish the book sometimes never finish lol 😊great video 📖🎥
Yesss I definitely have that with some series too!
I don’t often comment on videos but I just wanted to say I really enjoy your content.
Keep up the amazing work 🎉
Thanks so much! I appreciate it!
@@the_fools_tale You’re more than welcome 😊
I love long books. The Stormlight Archive is so good and when I first started them I was a little worried that they are so long, but when I finish it doesn't feel like you've read a 1000+ page book because I'm so deep into the story that everything outside the book just disappears.
And when it comes to the question of the thickest books I've read, I only say The Stormlight Archive and Wheel of Time, because then the question is very subjective, because I start counting a book as long around 800-900+ pages, because they most of the books I've read are between 500-800 pages and that feels pretty normal to me. And to give a shining example of what I mean, New Spring in The Wheel of Time counts as a Novella for those of us who read Fantasy/Sci-Fi and it is a book of 334 pages. When I talk to people who don't read Fantasy/Sci-Fi and say this, they look at me like I'm crazy, because they count that as a normal long book and when I then explain that a normal long book for me is between 500-800 pages and usually in a series of 3+ books, they go from just looking at me like I'm crazy to explaining to me that I'm crazy.
Yeah it’s very much a fantasy thing to have these TOMES of books haha
Longest fantasy I've read is Infinite Jest at almost 500,000 words. I'm not sure if that counts the endnotes though
I love holding a big book and yelling “Damn She Thickkkkkk!” 😂 I’ve been putting off the stormlight archive for a few years now 😂
Definitely read the stirmlight archive soon. It's worth the page count
Stormlight books could be shorter but I'm so, so glad they aren't! In fact I read ROW as slowly as I could manage because I didn't want to leave Roshar!
A very big Book is the german Version of Stephen King's The Stand with 1700 Pages.
That’s insane. I can’t imagine what that would look like haha! I’ve seen some editions of the stand and they are bricks
Big books scare me. If I read one it means I really believe it'll be amazing based on the description and reviews
The ASOIAF books are pretty long too 😂😂
Definitely! My paperback set splits books 3&5 into two volumes
Where can we buy your book? I am so excited to pick it up! Will it be available on Amazon?
It will be on Amazon! Il have the preorder up this week!
I think on of the thickest fantasy books I've read must be one of The WoT books, i think the thickest books are between 1200-1400 pages? I'm not entirely sure. Its definitely the longest written fantasy series ever written in words ❤😅 Now im going to start A Day of Fallen Night which is 846 pages long 😊😊
It’s insane to think it’s a series that ping but still has 1000+ page books haha
@@the_fools_tale crazy long! But so good! Sometimes I skimmed through more boring parts...
Malazan is technically a third longer if you count stuff outside of the main 10
@@danielgwynne7266 singel i wrote this ive learned the longest fantasy series is a selfpublished series called The Wandering Inn, snd its not even finished yet. You can read it for free on its website!
Sanderson is the author you go to when you want a 500 pag story told in 1000 pages
I’m a newbie to Fantasy. Want to read Abercrombie and Sanderson since I’ve heard such praise. Any other, preferably series, that should be must reads?
Ohhh yeah! Chris Woodings Darkwater Legacy are a favorite of mine. It starts with The Ember Blade. It’s very Lord of the Rings but modernised. Also John Gwynnes work is terrific if you want a more brutal viking type story
Richard Swans books are great
I’ve heard his books are great! Hoping to get to Justice of Kings over the summer
I really wish the shadow casket was in paperback!! Its driving me crazy. I have ember blade in paperback and I'm one of those people that like a matching set. I refuse to read until I get one. Lol. I guess I'm strange. Do you know why he doesn't have it in paperback. I'm a paperback freak and I can fit more books on my wall.
Paperbacks usually release 8-12 months after! It’s super frustrating. I’m waiting on the Lost Metal paperback for that same reason haha
@@the_fools_tale omg. Thank you so much! I never knew that. Your book sounds great and looks beautiful.
Probably The Stand. That book weighs a ton in hardback.
My editions of IT is 1502 pages long (translated into Spanish) . I'm glad you included the novel as a fantasy book, because it is besides the horror parts, the novel is what they call it _Dark Fantasy_ . No one likes THAT scene hahaha!
Funny how everybody loves Illborn and I gave it 2 stars 🤡😅
It’s one of those book that does things and is written in such a way that some will love it and others not so much haha! I personally loved it but I’ve seen mixed feelings on it
