I've just discovered your channel through my recommended, and binged watched all your uni videos as I'm starting a creative course in September! I've found your videos really insightful and they have settled some of my nerves about moving away from home ☺️ also, can I just say you seem like a very genuine person, which comes across in your videos 😊x

Hi Phoebe, I was last year and still am, in the same position as you regarding the long distance relationship thing at uni and I agree, it is so difficult at times! My boyfriend did the opposite as yours in that he's Australian and came to England to play cricket, but sticking through it is definitely worth it and makes the next time you see them so much more amazing! Just think how lucky you are to have a Christmas in Australia, because it honestly is the most amazing but surreal time! Christmas dinner in 40 degree heat is a weird one...
    Love your videos xx

Your hair is gorgeous here! I know you said you feel you're still discovering what paths you want to go down regarding your career, but as for the course/facilities at southampton - how do you feel about these? I'm applying to do fashion styling at LCF and then also southampton solent but I've also put down fashion media at southampton because it sounded so interesting in terms of building my career/blog and learning etc. But because it's not "the big city" and a fashion school itself I just hesitate it won't be as amazing as LCF but there's a chance I might not get in there so I'm just really interested in finding out what your personal experience with the actual uni is like/the people there. xx

Thank you Annabel. I'm currently in second year at solent and absolutely loving it compared to first year. SO many more opportunities to find out what i actually want to work towards and potentially so as a career after uni. Solent is great, so many contacts and every month we are in London for something. I like it because it's no way near as expensive as what london would be and it's a lot less busy (obvs) but only an hour away on the train. Have a look at Alumni who went to Solent, you'd be surprised with who went there for fashion etc. Samantha Maria (BeautyCrush) went there for fashion styling.
I enjoy it a lot more in second year than i did first, and i'm finally getting the hang of what i want to go into. It's helped me massively with my youtube etc and content ideas. xx

That's what I was thinking too in regards to being so close to London anyway that it really isn't too much of a burden to travel there. I'm in the Salisbury area as well so it would actually only be a 20 minute train away from home which is quite comforting lol. I think from my experience on an access course 3 years ago at London College of Fashion the uni didn't have much of a "community" feeling - great resources but not overly friendly perhaps - where as I think outside of London the universities have much more of a tight nit vibe which is actually quite nice I think. Also the halls in London are again a huge mix of unis most of the time where as Southampton would be all their own students which again feels more like a "proper" uni feeling. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the second year more :) I'm actually so excited in terms of growing my TH-cam while there (assuming I get in) because of all the contacts and talented people you'd meet as there's so many make-up/fashion related courses. Honestly there's only so many TH-cam videos I can film alone; I really want to make nice lookbooks and collabs and my tripod can only do so much 😂😂😂 xx

You can study make up?!! Wtf that's weird. How does paying £9000 for a beauty course compares to paying £9000 for medicine
