Why doesn't our town council support saving crabby bills put their power and energy to something that our town really loves ...let's see if you print this Debra Roberts

It's a LONG story that's been discussed in multiple City Council meetings and news articles. The city has honored its 10-year lease agreement, but the building now requires significant repairs. Independent third-party contractors have assessed that the structure is deteriorating significantly, with the back portion having already collapsed. Despite this, the city allowed Crab E Bills to remain until their lease concluded. It's disappointing that they haven't relocated, given they had three years to plan. The city's support for Crab E Bills is clear, evidenced by council members shopping there, but the urgency to vacate and repair the building is critical to prevent any accidents. If someone gets hurt, it becomes a huge liability for taxpayers. It was originally a garage and warehouse that was pieced together during the past 100 years. It only became a fish market in 2014. Ensuring safety is the priority, and the city aims to preserve the building, but some contractors have their doubts. In the future, it will always become a museum and fish market offered by the city. We just have to wait and see what happens when they get to work on it.

@@debraroberts9365 Where did you get your information? There's been no plans for anything at the building yet. We've been to ALL the meetings. The only thing planned is work on the building because it's collapsing. Everyone has known this for three years now, including Crab E Bills.
