Jerusalem is always intriguing..rain or shine...It is Israel's largest city and obviously, it is planning and building for its' future. More light rail lines are being built and seem very needed...way too much traffic and noise near the center! But then ...calm and pedestrian-scaled side streets and neighborhood. This walk in the Winter seasonal rain reminded me that for thousands of years and in every part of the Diaspora, Jews have been praying for the "Blessing of rain in its' season" for a land that was conquered, lost and one which they perhaps would never see...and yet with love and hope....pray they did..and today we got to see first hand what that looks like..and how "The Land" drinks it in and flourishes...!
