- Forbidden Jutsus are dangerous techniques used in the Naruto series. Izanagi, the Reaper Death Seal, the Shadow Clone Jutsu, the Rasenshuriken, the 8 Gates, Tsunade's Mitotic, the Regeneration, and the Edo Tensei are all forbidden jutsus.
But even thougj they are forbidden, characters use these jutsus all the time, and they don't seem to be prosecuted for doing so. Why is that the case? How come forbidden jutsus are not actually forbidden in the Naruto verse?

The regular Shadow Clone Jutsu isn't forbidden. What's forbidden is the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu, because only someone like Naruto has enough chakra to use it safely.
And Tsunade made the Rasenshuriken forbidden because of the damage it did to Naruto's own hand.
It's funny how one of Naruto's staple moves is something only a ninja special like him can perform without danger.

Forbidden jutsu doesnt mean you can't use them. It means they come with severe risks or are too impure for the user. Its expected to see alot of forbidden jutsus because some are beneficial like flying raijin. Some are only for people with huge chakra reserves otherwise it could lead to death like multi shadow clones. Some are strictly forbidden cos they require human sacrifices like edo tensei. And others straight up end the users life like death reaper god. With every law there would be law breakers
The databooks explain forbidden jutsu quite well and say pretty much this. A jutsu is forbidden either because it has conditions that make it dangerous for the average user like multi shadow clones Chakra drain or chidoris tunnel vision or the jutsu is considered a crime against humanity like edo requiring a live sacrifice.
What's more interesting is that there are no laws that punish one for the usage of forbidden jutsus
Even Minato was called a hero for using reaper death seal to stop the nine tails so it doesn't matter if your good or evil using a so called " forbidden" jutsu.

Thinking back on it, Guy should probably have been demoted back to chuunin and had his squad taken away from him for teaching a genin the Eight Gates. His reaction to Kakashi teaching Sasuke the Chidori, which isn't even forbidden, is also hilariously hypocritical.
It's one of those things the creator forgot about, I remember when Naruto used a shadow clone it was initially such a huge deal but now no one really cares because everyone can at least spawn a couple
the clone jutsu is fine, the multi shadow clone requires too much chakra to be split into various vessels, that means most people still can't use it, also the clones do transmit everything to the user when they explode, even the pain and fatigue, that is why naruto dosn't use much chakra on them so they are more resistant and they die in one hit from fodder ninja.
I think there are two kinds of "forbidden jutsu" - there are the morally taboo jutsu (Edo-Tensei, Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan), but also the self destructive Jutsu that effectively kills the user (Multi-Shadow Clone, Rasenshuriken, 8 gates).
The real question is why is Naruto not considered a genius when he was able to learn the Forbidden Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu in a single day? Naruto was able to make the strongest Wind Style jutsu with his first attempt at making a brand new jutsu, and he was able to master Sage Mode when Jiraiya of all people couldn’t. Maybe Naruto wasn’t dumb, maybe he just had ineffective teachers.
It's because Naruto was rather reckless with his power especially when he was younger.
the shadow clone isn´t particularly hard in terms of learning, the difficulty in the jutsu is splitting your chakra. you either have a really good chakra control or insane amounts of chakra. but yeah the other two examples are completely valid.
Because all 3 required the user to have high amounts of chakra. The hard part is not in the learning but rather in the execution.
Multi shadow clones require large amounts of chakra but shadow clone is an academy level jutsu. Sage mode shouldn't even be attempted if one doesn't have fairly huge amounts of chakra and aswell for wind style Rasenshuriken. Naruto is not a genius because he was born Uzumaki. Kakashi is a genius but couldn't learn Rasenshuriken because he doesn't have high amounts of chakra. Orochimaru is a genius and couldn't learn sage mode. Jiraiya couldn't perfect it because they were missing variables.

To people saying that the shadow clone and multi-shadow clone are the same jutsu and therefore it doesn't make sense for one to be forbidden but not the other, it's probably the same situation as with the Rasengan variants. Put more chakra into a Rasengan and it becomes a Oodama Rasengan, more chakra, Super Oodama Rasengan. Use two Rasengan one on each hand, Rasenrengan.
Feels like the human side to pain's argument where the tail beasts are rhe bombs while the extra op jutsu on an army would make sasori with his country destroying puppets look like a joke. Same with an army could deidara themselves
The regular Shadow Clone Jutsu is perfectly fine; the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu was the forbidden technique. This is because The MSCJ spreads your chakra so thin across hundreds of clones that it can drain a normal ninja's chakra so much that the user can die from it. It was more of a "this jutsu is way too dangerous for everybody except an Uzumaki Jinchuuriki to use" type situation.
If you split your phone into a bunch of copies but each one only had 1% battery, they wouldn't be of much use, phone batteries don't have much power and on 1% they're useless. Now if you had so much power that 1% still had as much juice as a car battery, those phones would all be useful.

You've just explanied how Rock Lee graduated to genin.
The clone jutsu is the academy graduation requirement. A clone is just an illusion, not a real shadow clone, requires much less chakra as your chakra isn't actually split up evenly using it like a shadow clone, and so isn't dangerous. Naruto couldn't produce a clone jutsu at first and after practice with the multi-shadow clone jutsu scroll managed to learn the multi-shadow clone jutsu, which is far more advanced than the clone jutsu. That's why he proved he could do it and graduated, not because he did a "forbidden" jutsu.
This is also why so many people confuse the 2 because while this was explained really early on in Naruto, it became his main tool after learning it, and many forgot that the original clone jutsu is just an illusion and not a real clone. People kind of forgot that he couldn't do an illusionary clone originally (which is what a lot of stuff like lightning clones that kakashi uses are based off of), and instead always uses real shadow clones, and makes a fuckton of them.
Forbidden in Naruto really just means it's dangerous to do due to risks. It's not illegal or anything, but either they are morally wrong, or just dangerous to the user.
The Shadow Clone isn't forbidden. The "MASS Shadow Clone" is. This is because the amount of chakra is equally given. How the average user cannot do it as their body lacks that much chakra. As for Rasenshuriken, it is labeled as forbidden, but Naruto mastered it and can use it correctly.

Rasenshuriken was forbiddeb because it was incomplete. As far as I remember, naruto never used it again in the form that made it be forbidden in the first place.
And as they've said, its massive shadow clone that was forbidden. So naruto uses that one less often (in part 1 I think he only used it against Misuki, Gaara, kimimaro, and maybe sasuke?)

@@rexflores8461 massive kage bunshin is when he summoned thousands of clones. I don't think the amount against Neji counts. Neither does the lot he used against Sasuke on the roof. When he uses that technique he also explicitly calls it differently than the usual kage bunshin. I could be remembering that fight wrong though.

The incomplete rasenshuriken is dangerous to the user because it requires contact with the user, so they take some of the damage. This isn't true for the complete version that can be thrown, so actually the rasenshuriken that Naruto mostly uses isn't forbidden.
Also the shadow clone jutsu isn't forbidden, it's the mass mutli shadow clone jutsu that's forbidden because of how much chakra it uses.
I mean, short answer? "Forbidden" is basically literary shorthand for "cool" and "powerful," and late-stage power creep made it so that anyone who couldn't fire off Forbidden Jutsu at will would no longer be relevant. Forbidden Jutsu are really strong and dangerous, so being able to use them is difficult; stronger people use stronger jutsu, so in Kishimoto's mind, each new tier of conflict has to have stronger people with stronger jutsu. Forbidden Jutsu had this mystique that made them more interesting, but he overplayed his hand in the name of power progression.

Multi shadow clone jutsu = too big chakra usage for average shinobi

Edo Tensei = having fun with other peoples lives, it makes your life/ego miserable + huge chakra usage
Izanami = only advanced uchiha members, can lost eyesight
Izanagi = same case as above
Reaper Death seal = instant death but before that you need to have huge amount of life force to fully seal object
Rinne Tensei = reviving, playing god, only for rinnegan users and causes death in most cases.
Its not forbidden cuz its only advanced, its forbidden because in best case you will run out of your chakra in second so you can die, most of them are basing on user death/permament damage without retrieve.
There is a difference between Shadow clone jutsu and multi shadow clone jutsu, Shadow clone jutsu in best case is 4 clones, multi shadow clone is 5+ so even to 1000 clones or more.
Why Rasengan due to being overpowered as well as chidori are not forbidden jutsus? They are advanced and need tons of practice but wont kill/permamently damage user, in best case you will lose controll and cancel jutsu with wasting chakra but IT WONT KILL YOU.

Kinjutsu just means that the jutsu is either dangerous to the user without fulfilling certain characteristics like having massive chakra reserves which is what is needed for multi shadow clone and rasenshuriken or a jutsu that is considered a crime against humanity to use like edo tensai which requires a live human sacrifice. This all gets explained in the databooks which also tell us all A and S rank jutsu are actually forbidden jutsu that you need to fulfill certain conditions to learn and use.

shadow clone jutsu is forbidden because this could easily kill the user. imagine you accidently cast the 1000 shadow clone jutsu or even 10 shadow clones. one would directly die. because this halfs your chacre every time and in the end you dont have any left and die.
the rasen shuriken was forbidden by tsunade. it was harming narutos hand a lot and was destroying his nerves so he couldnt cast any jutsu again. so again this would kill or harm the user a lot.
BUT naruto is an uzumaki. he got more chacra then tailed beasts. so he could use the shadow clone justsu with no problem.
and rasen shuriken he mastered after then senin mode. his body became physically powerful and he could use it with no harm-

We don't know if the actual reaper death seal technique was recorded there or if it was just the method of summoning the reaper with the mask in order to release the souls. But yeah, at least this method was recorded in a scroll Orochimaru found in his years of research, probably in an Uzumaki ruin.

My friend there is concept called freedom to enjoy anything people want. Once you leave your PC or Cell Phone and go outside your feelings about any video game,movie, ,and manga matter to zero percent in which having any ones feelings validated on social media is pointless endeavor . Hiruzen learned the Reaper Death Seal by observing Minato doing it. He even says as much when fighting Orochimaru. He was there observing Minato and Kushina's final moments.

Hiruzen was said to know "all jutsus of the Leaf", clearly that doesn't include bloodlines, but I find hard to believe and weird that he would know also the secret jutsus, and it's definitely not true that he knows jutsus like those of Aburame.
I imagine "all of the jutsus of the Leaf", if it still means anything, it means "all of the jutsus" that are not secret jutsus and any shinobi from the Leaf is allowed to learn if they have the highest rank of permission.
I think it’s less of being “banned from use” that everyone associates forbidden term with, and more of “banned from learning/education”. Forbidden in dictionary can be
1. not allowed; banned.
2. not permitted or allowed.
But I think it applies to learning it only, hence why no one like Naruto gets punished for using it.
Besides multi-shadow clown was only forbidden as inexperienced and rash shinobi would drain themselves out, and could lead someone to death.
Naruto's Uzumaki cells definitely helped him master the jutsu easily due to the clan's high chakra reserves,it is a jutsu that only a high level Jounin could be able to use effectively.

They just don't want ambulances on stand by near their school. So they don't award points there. Or even lead to disqualification, to really discourage use. aka "forbidden" for students. Or forbidden to grade/teach applying to teachers.

This definitely seems to be it, you don't want your kid coming back one day from the ninja academy with a broken arm because a teacher was teaching your kid the rasen shuriken.
I imagine the teaching of all of these jutsus is supposed to be regulated at the very least, although the regulation might be very loose in the cases of not that dangerous jutsus.
So Guy can teach his genin the Reverse Lotus, but Orochimaru couldn't teach Anko the Edo Tensei (to give an example) without facing severe repercussions.
The unfinished rasenshuriken was forbidden. The one that cannot be thrown and causes damage to Naruto on impact (that's Naruto worked on it to be thrown)
And the kage bunshin (shadow clone) is not forbidden. The tajuu kage bunshin (multi Shadow clones) is forbidden because almost anyone have the chakra for it and die.

The fact people always steal Hashirama 's cells( I'm surprised he was still intact enough to be revived by Edo with the cells he lost) is proof of how those powers can be abused.
@@justinarzola4584You don't need a complete body to reanimate someone with Edo Tensei, you just need a DNA sample. You use the DNA to summon the soul of the person and bind it to another dead body. So you don't need Hashirama's corpse to be intact, you just need a strand of hair or a bit of blood/flesh, which Orochimaru definitely had access to since he was doing experiments with Hashirama's cells for some time.
Another example is if the summoned person is missing body parts. Madara's corpse didn't have his Rinnegan, yet he was reanimated with fake ones because the Edo Tensei uses the summoned soul to recreate the original body over the sacrifice's, that's also why they constantly regenerate their bodies, chakra, and stamina. When Madara revived himself through Rinne Tensei, he lost the fake Rinnegan and became blind.

Forbidden in Naruto just means it's classified. You can know the jutsu, you just can't teach it or share it with anyone.

Some are simply classified yes but rasenshuriken is 100% banned because it harms the user. Plus you could argue it's unethical because it completely destroys the targets chakra system permanently.

The rasenshuriken Naruto used to defeat Kakuzu (the "forbbiden one") and the one he uses the rest of the series are different ones.
When Naruto killed the akatsuki, the rasenshuriken shoot small chakra 'needles' that severed the cells and chakra network of enemies and hurt Naruto's hand.
Later, this isue is never mentioned again. Also the first rasenshuriken made a lot of noice, the after didn't.
Well later Naruto learned sage mode and gained control of kyubi it lessen his risk he never used rasenshuriken in his base mode
It’s forbidden if used close range like a Rasengan as it also damages the arm of the user. But when Naruto started Throwing the Rasenshuriken, it erased the damage to the user.

Jutsus are mostly forbidden because they harm the average ninja, the people who are using forbidden ones are not close to average so obviously it doesnt apply to them.
I think the "forbidden" clause, it's more like a way to protect the power of the jutsu to other village, like "if no one talks about it, no one will know about it, and so never used against us" but they still can teach them to really trustful people, why Naruto wasn't punished, he is trustful to Hiruzen eyes

some kinjutsus are forbidden cause of being unethical like edo tensei, some are fobidden for being dangerous to the user like multishadow clone and rasenshuriken, naruto uses the mutishadow clone cause he's a exception, he has so much chakra, so much that it isn dangerous, and the rasenshuriken is forbiden cause it damages the user, but kurama can real, so naruto can use it too.

Since Naruto had a madly effective healing factor due to Kurama's chakra, why wasnt that healing factor able to fix the damage to his chakra network after the rasen shuriken?
The chakra has to be able to flow through his body in the first place.

@@infinitenex8165The damage of the Rasenshuriken wasn't permanent to Naruto, his arm heals after some time after all. Tsunade's concern was that repairing the chakra network is particularly difficult and that Naruto would suffer that damage every time he used the jutsu. After repeated usage, with time he could become unable to heal again.
It's a similar situation with Kurama's healing ability. It comes at the cost of shortening Naruto's lifespan because your body can only heal so many times. The same happens with Tsunade's and Sakura's Sozou Saisei and Byakugou.
This also is the case irl. Technically, the more your body has to create more cells to heal a wound, the more likely you are to develop cancer. Not only the cells can only divide so many times until aging takes its toll, more celular divisions means more chances of failure during the process, resulting in cancer.

But flamethrowers are nastier than a simple fireball. Flamethrowers shoot liquid fuel (such as gasoline mixtures) which sticks on the target. It's not just fire and it's much harder to put out/get rid of.
Plus in Naruto's universe there are many ways of countering a fireball, such as substitution, blocking it with earth or water, hiding below the ground, you name it.

I didn't watch the rest of the video u probably made the point but we see them using forbidden jutsu because we are always looking at the best or rare from The villages 👍🏽
The reason shadow clones was forbidden is because of the information value they have, only shadow clones sends back the info and experience to the user, in theory you can go ti bed and leave a shadow clone to study for you then when the jutsu is undone everything it learned comes back to you the original.
Firstly the shadow clone justu isn't forbidden it's actually a basic high level justu the multi version is forbidden cause logically very few have the chakra to pull it off. Secondly most forbidden justu are stolen by rogue ninja funny enough I think in one of the Naruto games tsunade mentioned how she doesn't Write down her justu and makes sure her students just memorize it so people can't just steal it
Just so I understand Kinjutsu better Im going to use some comparison. So a hokage labeling a jutsu forbidden it kinda like the Geneva Convention calling certain actions in war as war crimes. Like if the US drops bombs on civilians, it is forbidden according to the Geneva Convention but it is still a technique they have access to. Same with Israel using white phosphorous on Palestinian civilians or Russia kidnapping Ukranian children during war. These things are forbidden but still openly practiced.
The "rasenshuriken" Naruto used again kakuzu was a "wind style rasengan" that rasengan is forbidden while rasenshuriken is just a rasengan that you can throw

When we breakdowns jutsu in the technical aspect, we realize how much we an improve its usage, how to manage the chackra, and many else.
I wonder what happen if you insert different amount of chackra to a clone. If bunshin put in 1% chackra to their clone, the clone can't perform any other jutsu. What happen if you put 10%, 20%, 30%, etc. We know putting 50% to the clones make shadow clones, which helps the user to be undistinguishable from the real body.
What happen if we put more than 50% chackra to the clone?
I know there is also argument which state you have to put the right amount of chackra to stablyze the clone, I mean you escentially give 25% chackra to make 3 shadow clones, 10% chackra to make 9 shadow clones, so you should be able to do the mental mathematics to create a 10% chackra bunshin.
I know you are making rewrites, and it's probably to late to incorporate this to the story, but yeah.
Even more forbidden is the multishadowclone jutsu, which may have been on the scroll that Naruto stole in the beginning of the series
The strongest Forbidden Jutsu is thousand years of death. It's both unethical, and hurts the user. It hurts the user via destroying their fingers if they do it improperly, and it's unethical for... obvious reasons.

Man, thanks for the video, but I wanted to say that from the get-go, you are trying to explain that this jutsu is forbidden because it’s not moral to use against somebody which is not the case. Forbidden jutsu are the jutsu that are hard to control, they are forbidden because they harm the user not because they are dangerous to the enemy.
So maybe you’re gonna speak about that later in the video so I’ll continue watching hope so. If not then I’m gonna have to discuss that in my own video. If I won’t forget about this topic, I’ll write it down.
