Agreed! It’s such a blooming shame how all the chocolate has been filled with more sugar and strange fatty substitutes. I just don’t buy the old small snack choc bars anymore or even the bigger bars. They’re all rubbish. Plain chocolate Club was one of my absolute favourites as a child- where did it go? Only ever see Orange l, perhaps the Fruit ones on the shelves these days and as I said, the chocolate’s never truly hard, just fatty. It’s funny, I’m not 50 and yet nothing is as it was. Given my own parents and grand parents have muttered the same refrain over the years, one wonders seriously just how badly we have degraded the food we eat and society generally. Sad times.

That's John Peel voicing the Trio ad. Milk Tray was one of the best series of commercials ever with a great jingle by Cliff Adams. The unmistakable Ed Bishop in the Wispa ad. Sounds like Chris Tarrant at the end of the Smiths Crisps ad - he did quite a few commercials.
Yet again, I love how inspirational these ads were in those days. The Twix one (10:53) and the Mars one at the end again are almost worthy of a West End production

Why we had to change from Marathons to Snicker bars!? I always loved Treets Which were all chocolate flavour with a nut. But now M&Ms are all different colours .
After 30 years or so I sang my way through all these adverts word for word almost, it just goes to show the brainwashing power of television on the general public !

If you take the biscuit base off a double decker you have what's close to how a texan was.
Ironically, Texan bars were never sold in the US.
