The box itself was a bit rubbish so had to lay the fossils out instead, but the concept was the same 😂

@@dinoskool The first blue wyke block might be worth micro CT, it's fairly rare and I don't think it is too pyritic to get an effective scan

To check out the other potential ammonite? Maybe down the line. Will see how I do this winter at Ravenscar with more of the Blea Wyke stuff whether it's worth investigating that one further

@@dinoskool That was my thought. I hope you have some great finds this winter, I'll have to fossil hunt vicariously through you! Although I have got a couple leads on fossil localities at my next location, still don't know how legal collecting is there XD .

I was very pleased how the Paltech came out especially as so little was exposed when I found it and I did tap it so it broke 😅
I do always enjoy the results of good fossil prep even if the fossils themselves are not always the best. It's one of the joys of the hobby! Just have to keep looking for better ones.

Always some more goodies to be found! The prep is very much a work in progress. Not had a lot of time of late, but when I do, I'm busy prepping my first proper Grammo block which will get shown off when done.

Ey up Andrew, looks like you dropped lucky moving to the Yorkshire coast! Where you from and how long have you been interested in fossils? You've already got some stuff I'd like to find so good luck for the future and keep the content coming. Watching fossil hunting vids from Yorkshire while I drink beer and have a smoke in my garage in Nottingham is like meditation for me and keeps me dreaming of my next chance to get up there myself to try and find some! Nice one 👍

I've been into fossils since I was a young kid and found my first fossils on the Charmouth/Lyme Regis stretch of Dorset when I was 5 or 6. A palaeo degree and PhD later, a job eventually brought me up to Yorkshire and I've been trying to enjoy the coast whenever I can to break up the usual life!
Glad you are enjoying the vids, and hope you can get out hunting in the not too distant future! I should be out again soon and am looking forward to it.

@dinoskool now that was a work out. I can see why it is one of the hardest beaches to get to. But absolutely beautiful all the way. Thank you for your advice, I don't think i would have got there without it.

Glad it helped. It's a mission at the best of times and when it's overgrown or wet it's a challenge. Add a bag of rocks and you are feeling it by the end of the climb up! Hope you got some good finds
