Thank you so much for taking the time to show our balm and provide a link. We enjoyed your story about trying to find hand lotion. Most fellows prefer the tin you have, we don't add any scent. It was cool to see the tin with you in a shelter on the Appalachian trail. Years ago we gave a tin to a thru hiker we met in Stratton, Maine. He didn't really want the extra weight in his pack, but took it and later let us know how helpful it was. He even sent a picture of himself and the tin at the trail's end, the top of Mt. Katahdin. Thanks again and Happy Trails!
When we were milking cows what I used to use on my hands was Good Old Bag Balm. That sterilizer that we used to use could be really rough on your hands
Always love the journey Cliff!! Wow that was a lot of uphill. Spring sound so calming. Enjoy that you share your mail. Always love listening & learning. Look forward to your next hike + future hikes with Mike. Stay well. :)
"Spring chicken" noun 1. INFORMAL - a young person. "you're no spring chicken yourself anymore" 2. a young chicken for eating (originally available only in spring). As always beautiful scenery thx for sharing.
I live one mile from the trailhead and the two mountains that frame the gap are my playground. Just today I took the orange blazed switchback up the mountain, came down into the gap, passed the outerbridge shelter and crossed the road to pick up the D and L trail back to the conservation house, a 4 mile loop and the beginning of my training for an ulta at hickory run. If covid allows. Love your videos.
A nice journey WW! Thanks Kindly! But now I'm craving a Hershey bar and confined to home. But living next to a park it's just fine! Good Health and Good Journeys! DaveyJO
Up top that mountain is Devil's Den or Pulpit which it's a very steep climb and great excerise. Use to take our dog on those hikes. That is about 20 minutes away from where I live. It's a beautiful part of PA. Really PA is a beautiful state to explore.
Just was up that trail today. Instead of entering where you did, I park at the Nature Center building and use the Woodpecker Trail that connects to the AT. Nice section with lots of fern growth and as the namesake indicates, you might see some woodpeckers.
I have known people who were told to walk after having a heart attack, maybe?, If they had of walked beforehand, they (maybe) could have avoided it. I feel that you must be healthy because you of all the walking you do. Of course, you said that you aren't no young chicken anymore. It's, also, good if you have your heart beating rapidly when you exercise. Thx. For the excellent upload and, also, bag balm is grest
Nice hike . I did that section Rt 309 northbound to Lehigh Gap right after a huge brush fire a few years back, also Little gap southbound to lehigh gap epic views on top of lehigh gap
Oh man. I know you don't like hiking up hill, but believe me, it's very good cardio exercise. The heart is a very important muscle to exercise regularly.
I go to the Appalachian Trail around Boone, NC and through Southwest Virginia, beautiful area. My parents live about five miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I figured out what patreon is and signed up as a supporter, thank you as we are all not able to travel with the COVID19 going.
I like how you put that. Second amendment right. That looked like a fun hike Have ever been on the old loggers trail that’s at the top of rock run road in ralston
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 if you go to the top of the mt on the road that x Lycoming Creek. The old loggers path is up there on right the creek that runs up threw the valley. Rock run is beautiful water falls ect. Have kayaked down it many times. It's worth hiking along. Happy trails
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 I did see that video. But there is alot more up there around that cemetery foundation a open mine cable car tracks. And a wood structure and tailing piles do you ever want more information about it just let me know
Hey Cliff. Enjoyed taking this hike with you ... how many miles of this trail have you hiked so far? Looking forward to seeing Mike as well, you are both such good guys!!!! While I'm here, I want to thank you sooooooo much for the video you putout awhile ago on Narcissists. Having had personal experience with this issue, I know how devastating this can be on a person's well being. People actually look at you like you're a nutcase rather than the narcissist. Congrats for getting thru it and God Bless.
I'm in Conestoga and I'd sure like to join you sometime. I love doing this kind of stuff. Have you ever checked out the area down here ? I can't hike like I used to due to my back issues. So I guess that I'll vicariously join you.
Yeah, sometimes it can't be helped! I can always hear him above the traffic! He always apologizes for the traffic! But, like I said, sometimes it can't be helped!
Along with the Bag Balm, there's also Corn Husker's Lotion.
Nice video! And you're never blabbing too much! You're pleasant to listen to! 😊

Thanks for the package!
The post card is a Steve Hunneck design. The sale of his artwork supports Dog Mountian in Vermont.
Good to see you back on the trail and ALONE because you are best out ALONE. Thanks for something to watch from a quarantine kid. 👍👍✌️

Gorgeous footage brotha! You sure have shown what beautiful terrain lies right next to interstate highways! Awesome hike man.

Did some camping in Vermont last year people are so nice there. Was a mad house at Ben&Jerries though but the ice cream was worth it😂

Wow only 20 days ago. Lol
I live on the AT in Dalton Massachusetts.
I get my dad O'Keefe Hand Cream or good old Petroleum Jelly.
Renee Rebmann O’Keeffe’s is great. I use it.
Thanks for the hike. Are schools closed now?
yes
You could hike some of the longer sections with overnights and have someone meet you to get back.
I have done that several times already
always enjoy your videos! but many times i hear car/truck traffic ;)
In Pennsylvania it is very hard to hike anywhere without getting road noise.
Yeah, sometimes it can't be helped! I can always hear him above the traffic! He always apologizes for the traffic! But, like I said, sometimes it can't be helped!
Were those gunshots I heard in the background? What's in season in March in PA?
Just someone target shooting
I'm not seeing the link to the Vermont Bee Balm company.
Just added it.
Yey first .
