Hey Glock! There are a couple of layers of clay soil under asphalt, just before you hit rock. Just dig under the road and you'll have all the clay soil you'll ever need.
18:00 the rag doll in this game is amazing. I had a zombie cartwheel down a flight of stairs one time and I had to hide because I couldn't stop laughing.
Hey Glock, I'm 99.99% sure that the poi's on the outskirts of town that have farms in them have clay in the farms regardless of biome...like smithstone silos, huenink farms, shady swine, etc... Folks, if you agree, like this comment so he sees it!
@@sindrek8 I'm also doing a wasteland run. I'd been scrounging for clay and was stoked to find a tiny pond made with clay. I dug it up, turned around and there was a farm with all the clay I could ever need! lol Just like Glock sometimes its right under my nose.
Pretty sure there is just a layer of snow then layer of clay unless they changed it in 1.0 release. I remember when we still had jars, my favorite biome was snow because of the snowballs being free wayer and the free meat delivery. Under 1-2 blocks of snow should be clay soil and if not, itll be quick to check anyway.
So I've been thinking about a new challenge. I was thinking you should spin a wheel for melee and ranged weapon using all the weapons in game. also add no melee and no ranged to them for a added hit. you should spin it off the start of day 1 then after after horde. you could also do a x factor wheel. this would mean the game changes after every horde.
That's the beauty of these challenges!! Some of the normally easiest to attain resources become rare and valuable! Rooftop gardens should have decent clay, if you have any nearby. If ANYONE can make a 3x3 work, it's Glock9! 3 episodes is already pushing my expected length of this series. XD
I saw a recent vid by Double G with 100 tips and one of them was if you missed a rotation placing a block you can hit the "R" button to return to the previous angle instead of having to cycle through all the rotations over again. That could save you some stress down the line if you remember to do it. Great series as always
A series like this screams the need for a partner to make it possibly viable. You'll eventually reach the point where you can't scavenge enough food/resources solo and have the time to repair/upgrade the base.
A good horde base to consider glock is to make a ladder base, use one ladder going up about 6 to 8 blocks or so, put one hatch at the end of the top ladder, and a second hatch directly about the 1st hatch then put 2 cobblestone above the 2nd hatch, close the hatches out by placing a scaffolding ladder to melee and shoot and maybe a block or teo to the sides of them do they dont jump at you. if you need to repair with any cobblestone you can close the hatches when you see fit but be careful cause the hatches can be possibly blocked by the zombies so thats the toughest thing you need to stay on top of. Secondly, when you close the hatches sometimes the zombies hitting the scaffolding bars will do a little slide movement and fall right back down even with the walls next to them. Theyll slide right through sides and fall back down. For your floor you may want to use 2 cube cobblestone blocks so they dont focus on that as a way to get to you. Essentially the hatches help limit the number of zombies hitting the scaffolding bars and to help you repair when you need to, the walls on the side of them and above the 2nd hatch allow them to focus only on the scaffolding ladder in front of you, and closing hatches will boop them past the walls to fall back down just like the door youre using now. You can rinse and repeat the next block right behind you as much as you can. It worked pretty well for me except i scrapped the idea at a certain point because i forgot repair resources and ended up dying once they broke through all my scaffolding bars. Hope it helps!
Hey glock, the day you posted this, September 30,is my birthday and I'm happy to say that the only thing I really asked for was your pumpkin head shirt and I got it. Literally the only merch I've ever gotten from any creator. It's dope. Keep up the vids my guy love what you do.
Hey, glad to see you still making it in this series. Don't forget the make dirt to increase clay trick. Just wish there was one to getting more stone. I wish you luck surviving a few more days.
hey glock that one corner the back left at 36:06 you should make an opening in the ceiling to allow the zombies to go up as they pile up. except that opening uses angled pieces that just eject the zombies off the clock tower. so you would have two scaffolding bars on top of the ceiling that look like the two you have now that stop the zombies from getting to you. then on thetop of them place an angled corner piece pointing to the back corner on the clocktower.
Damn, your current horde base setup has to be the most unique simple base I've ever seen you or other 7d2d channels do! Genuinely hope you can continue to improve it, cause there's something to it for sure.
Awesome vid Glock I'm glad you decided to make a longer playthrough this time its always appreciated the content and hilarious commentary.... I have a question so in my game I was just riding my motorcycle to the trader and I somehow fell off my bike and went into third person for awhile. When I got up my motorcycle was no where to be found? That ever happened to you or any of you guys that read this comment? It completely vanished!!
This must be one of your toughest challenges yet. With Horde every night, you have very little time to do repairs, prepare for the next horde and also scavenge the supplies that you need. I’ll be very impressed if you make it to double figures. Looking forward to the next episode of this series and also Nightcrawler, which I’m also enjoying immensely.
At the edge of large citys like these you can find alot of fields to dig up for clay. Probably the best option to get large quantitys of clay in the snow and wasteland at all. :O
Using the double poles horizontal for your cage will work much better. You can hit through them and the zombies are still stuck. Then add the scaff ladder or bars under. Then you will be sitting pretty with a window of death 👍
The 1m circle block might work for the above the door. You may even be able to double layer it. Use the soil block clay exploit, since the ground is made of snow and stone.
when it comes to the base design that you have a spear with its thrusting and extra reach is going to serve you better then a club in the long run (also a spear playthrough would be nice)
Knock out the stairs and put ladders and floors in. Use a hatch on the wall to make it so they can only come up 1 block off the floor so you can hit them through it.
I noticed as well, that zombies keep falling through solid blocks, I made an underground military base into my own base and zombies keep finding their way inside without breaking any blocks, not matter how many layers there are or if I upgrade everything to steel blocks, they just end up inside my base during horde nights. Not all of them of course, usually 2 or 3 at a time.
You could do a 2x1 cage of scaffolding bars, instead of the 1x1 you did, just put both scaffolding bars parallel to you and knock out the walls behind where the zombs will stand, that way you'll send them flying down the tower with the ragdoll perk you got for the wood club
My base is in the snow and if you check some of the farm poi's which has dead corn fields, some of the top layer is soil 😉👍🏻 if you look on map it shows as green areas. Hope that helps the clay situation 🤞🏼
I dont believe it's patched, he did it in ep 1 of the nightcrawler series but he said he didn't want to do it since it's so time consuming and he has better stuff to do.
This episode - and it might just be your editing style for this series - really reminds me of glock from ~5 years ago. Really neat to see. Love ya buddy!
City farm plots are two types. They look the same but one has 5000 points and gives stone. The other is the one you want. A quick tap will tell which is which.
Would double twin poles top and bottom be a better arrangement as a barrier at the door dropper? stops them from getting to you but allows you more space to swing at them? and maybe a single door dropper rather than double, try and limit how many can get on it....something like that.
Surely scaffold bars on the bnottom with the single bar on top? that way you can hit through without issue, and still time to drop the door if 1 crawls through
surely part of the task is that you shouldn't be able to repair the clock tower otherwise you will end up building a new one in its place from all the new blocks you put down

Hey Glock! There are a couple of layers of clay soil under asphalt, just before you hit rock. Just dig under the road and you'll have all the clay soil you'll ever need.
Boom 💥 problem solved
Farms and the Silo POI's should give you clay soil Glock and for Nightcrawler also...
It’s always so cool to see your horde base building ideas. Great work! Will be interesting to see how this one evolves. Much love 💗
I can't believe you're not calling this series Save the Glock Tower!!!
Much love from Farnborough, England! 😊
11:19 I love how take em over to the clock tower is this series version of "take them behind the shed"
18:00 the rag doll in this game is amazing. I had a zombie cartwheel down a flight of stairs one time and I had to hide because I couldn't stop laughing.
I've been here refreshing my page waiting for the video. Good afternoon from South Africa

Worth a look.
100%, I'm doing a wasteland run atm and the farms are my source of clay soil. I have a base in one of the barns so I'm nearby
@@sindrek8 I'm also doing a wasteland run. I'd been scrounging for clay and was stoked to find a tiny pond made with clay. I dug it up, turned around and there was a farm with all the clay I could ever need! lol
Just like Glock sometimes its right under my nose.
What a legend. I never expected this series to get this far!
Roadside ditches and culverts are typically lined with 1 or 2 layers of soil in the snow biome.
Glock's humor keeps me sane and cheerful.
Pretty sure there is just a layer of snow then layer of clay unless they changed it in 1.0 release. I remember when we still had jars, my favorite biome was snow because of the snowballs being free wayer and the free meat delivery. Can confirm this, my base is in the snow biome. Right under the snow is clay 👍
Yeah in 1.0 there is definitely at least 1 layer of clay everywhere in snow biome
Yep have to leave the city, and outside the poi’s.. same as the wasteland, there’s clay under the destroyed rubble
Good Morning Glock!
18:18 i love how glock opened the door and then closed it behind him when the walls missing and he and the zombies could just walk through lol

At first I thought this series was doomed to fail, but now seeing how it's testing your base building strategies... I'm fully on board!
A series like this screams the need for a partner to make it possibly viable. You'll eventually reach the point where you can't scavenge enough food/resources solo and have the time to repair/upgrade the base.
@@rocksteady9826 Totally agree, the only people to perfect that was NGTZombies imo

That went pretty good. With a little luck, if the gods quit messing with you, you may get past the next day. Very fun to watch.
35:00 I have always found the spear better at headshotting in a scaffolding box setup. But that skill tree is otherwise useless in the beginning
"Blue bag! I'm not stupid enough to try and go for it." LOL, sure Jan. Fun episode!

He's already addressed that old trick

I’ve had zeds go underground on me too. I turn on DM mode go under and kill them then turn DM mode off.

8:03 -- Isn't that building out? In Glock's mocking voice, "Isn't that building out"? Lol Love your content man.
ditches along the roads in the outskirt of the city are a nice way to find clay as well
Man the madness that is the glock tower is insane
Another great episode! Keep up the great work, G9!
I'm liking the double doors! I knew you'd figure something out :) Just got to hope it works now :)
LOL. Glock, it's right there, RIGHT THERE.
Glock: Oh wait, right here! Duuuuuh
I think day 11 should be no horde painting extravaganza overnight.
Nice to see 7dtd up after 10 years of updates!! Were starting series on youtube now!
Loving the content and the series . You always make each series unique and so entertaining. Keep up the good work mate
Love the series! Keep it going!
18:00 that moment sent me crying of laughter
Another fantastic episode G9. Always looking forward to the next one.
Hey Glock! Love your videos man. You're one of my inspirations for starting my own 7 days channel. Keep up the awesome videos!
This would be an amazing spear setup too!
Some champions begin their day with Wheaties but a real zombie slayer like Glock9 starts his morning with a hearty zoom temperature can of Meow Chow!
Cool way to deal with them Glock thanks for your work, you def inspire me!
Nice... this one is definitely an interesting challenge!
23:50 I always here this in Doraleous' voice now whenever I unlock it 😂
Level 4 *PUMMEL PETE!*
The Rooftop of that Buy & Go Apartments is one of my all time favorite base locations

Like this setup give us time to see Zombies
Sometimes if you take a buried supplies quest it will convert some blocks to clay soil, especially asphalt.

During a 32 zombie horde, I had a zombie get pushed inside a steel cube and take out my electronics. That really sucked.
Just remember shotguns do block damage change the outter wall to scaffold or bars.
You could do a 2x1 cage of scaffolding bars, instead of the 1x1 you did, just put both scaffolding bars parallel to you and knock out the walls behind where the zombs will stand, that way you'll send them flying down the tower with the ragdoll perk you got for the wood club
One of the biggest keys to survival is the ability to adapt to change. I'd say you have show you are pretty darn goot at adapting.
Glock, try using the crown molding for the doorway. zombies cant get thru. love the content!
Great horde mate. Thanks Glock cheers cobber.
Love the drop door!
Thank you for another great video
My base is in the snow and if you check some of the farm poi's which has dead corn fields, some of the top layer is soil 😉👍🏻 if you look on map it shows as green areas. Hope that helps the clay situation 🤞🏼
Lots of clay all over in the snow
The drainage trenches are also good for clay. I think it’s two deep the length of the trench.
you can go to any farm and dig up earth - I live in the snow biome all the time
18:00 That zombie is looking at a broken C5 vertebra at the very least
Could always make top soil. Then use a shovel on it. You get more clay back then it takes to make
He's talked about why he is not bothering
Upload more often please i love ur videos
Is the trick. you used in the "Trapped in Higashi" Series, to multiply the clay no longer working in 1.0?
He said he wasn't going to do that in this series.
thats been patched
I dont believe it's patched, he did it in ep 1 of the nightcrawler series but he said he didn't want to do it since it's so time consuming and he has better stuff to do.
Glock can however throw the Clay Pots into the Forge to get 40 clay per unit versus scrapping it and only getting 6.
Where are you all living where there's not enough clay? Is it complete wasteland maps? Can I do that on p5?
Snow biome has clay, just like the wasteland does. You go under 2-3 blocks of biome specific, then there is 2-3 blocks of clay, then stone.
This episode - and it might just be your editing style for this series - really reminds me of glock from ~5 years ago. Really neat to see.
Love ya buddy!
Find a farm, you can get clay from the fields. Always my go to
This is going to be a good video
Look for the water ditches and gardens to find a little clay.
Little bit of oatmeal here to start the day... WHAT'S UP, GLOCK9, Everyone here!
Giving us all trauma even I throw my cornmeal away. Maybe he ascended when he threw that chair down now it doesn't affect him
City farm plots are two types. They look the same but one has 5000 points and gives stone. The other is the one you want. A quick tap will tell which is which.
Pummel Pete Level 4!!! Doraleous would be proud!
From what I’m seeing on the wiki is clay only spawns near water sources and by boulders/snow berries. Will test out later when I get home.
if you want you can make a bunch of top soil and dig that up
He's already said he's not going to
Would double twin poles top and bottom be a better arrangement as a barrier at the door dropper? stops them from getting to you but allows you more space to swing at them? and maybe a single door dropper rather than double, try and limit how many can get on it....something like that.
I think I have dug clay in the snow biome but further outside of a city and into a hill.
Molotov the ground zom! Damn glitches
Great fun! Seems like there should be a better block than the scaffolding ladder for that top cage bit? Just seems so hard to not hit the ladders
I always got clay in the northern biome under the snow.
You talking shit is the reason we watch! lol Love you Glock!
If you turn the scaffolding bars the other way it's easier to get through on the horizontal.
Surely scaffold bars on the bnottom with the single bar on top? that way you can hit through without issue, and still time to drop the door if 1 crawls through
Cornbread to start the day? This isn't looking good boys.
😂
Oh yeah!! Shoulda asked dora for that level 4 pummel pete sound bite
Glock in his wheel house talking SH^T and getting infected! Lets Gooooooo!
Another day another carnage!
surely part of the task is that you shouldn't be able to repair the clock tower otherwise you will end up building a new one in its place from all the new blocks you put down
dude im only ten minutes in and im over here biting my gd nails at seeing your plan for the horde. i hope it workssssss xD buuuuuuut @3@

true farm poi in snow biom have the first lair clay...more than enough
Glock used confusion. Critical hit.
Nice job!
43 minutes of glock?? Yahoooooo!!!!!!woooooohooo!!!!
