I definitely use Photoshop for some of my web design related stuff but have recently noticed that I can get most of these features out of GIMP that, but (hate to say this) will be adding Affinity Photo into the mix as I am returning to my great hobby of photography.

hi nick. a quick and easy way to go about allowing pop out images.
Select part of the phone layer (diagonally dividing in half or doing quarters on each side) then adding your desired image in between layers. It's much faster but still only works with images with out backgrounds.
It mostly depends on the image. Otherwise the phone layer trick wouldn't work efficiently if the image has a background to remove.

Hey Nick! How do you finish the border around the image? You jumped this explanation on the video but I'm missing it. I'm trying to apply this technique somewhere else but I can't get passed the details like the eyelashes and always end up with a border around the face after cropping that doesn't look nice. Have you explained this in any of your tutorials?

I love watching your videos. I've been using Photoshop CS6 since 2012, and I recently got Gimp because I got a new computer and I want an alternative to Photoshop since I can't afford to upgrade to Adobe CC. Anyway, I don't know how many of your videos I've watched already today about Gimp, but for this image that you're using, the phone image has a reflection. (1) would you recommend creating a reflection of the portrait you're popping out of the phone screen for the sake of continuity and if so, (2) how, in Gimp would you go about doing that?
