I too have never had the chance to season wood in log form. Perhaps stored of skids off the ground in the middle of a field the Nc sun would do a good job baking it, I just don’t have those conditions at my place
I think to get a true reading you are supposed to split and check immediately.. not after its sit for 24 hours. We always split a piece and check right away on the fresh split side.
I would some what agree . But I was just showing that my dry logs are very acceptable. A lot of folks say no way it can dry in log form . Thank you for your comment. My little Chanel has a long way to go .

I stack it off the ground and like this summer we had long days 98-105 heat .
